Frame your HRBP experience in consulting contexts
Deloitte's HR Business Partners support client-facing practices, not just internal operations. Tailor your resume to show experience partnering with business leaders on workforce planning, talent strategy, or organizational change rather than transactional HR administration.
Target business unit postings over centralized HR listings
Deloitte's HRBP roles are often posted under specific service lines like Consulting, Advisory, or Tax. Applying to a practice-specific posting signals you understand the business context, which matters to hiring managers evaluating HRBP candidates.
Understand the LCA filing requirement before your offer stage
Before Deloitte can file your H-1B or E-3 petition, the firm must obtain a certified Labor Condition Application from DOL confirming your offered wage meets prevailing wage standards. This step happens after offer acceptance and adds time before your start date.
Use Migrate Mate to identify active HRBP openings at Deloitte
Sponsorship-eligible HR Business Partner roles at Deloitte aren't always easy to filter for on general job boards. Migrate Mate surfaces openings specifically by visa sponsorship type, so you can focus your applications on positions where your status is already accounted for.
Build your SHRM or HRCI credentials before the interview process
Deloitte's HRBP postings frequently list SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR certification as preferred qualifications. Holding one signals professional credibility in the U.S. HR context and strengthens your petition when USCIS evaluates specialty occupation eligibility for HR roles.

Find HR Business Partner at Deloitte JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for HR Business Partners?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for HR Business Partner roles. The firm has an established immigration program and works with in-house legal teams to manage petitions. Sponsorship is typically confirmed during the offer stage, and your position must qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS criteria, which generally requires a directly related bachelor's degree or higher.
Which visa types does Deloitte sponsor for HR Business Partner roles?
Deloitte sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, and E-3 visas for HR functions, as well as employment-based Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3. Australian citizens should ask specifically about E-3 eligibility, which bypasses the H-1B lottery. H-1B1 applies to Chilean and Singaporean nationals. Each visa type has different filing requirements and timelines, so clarify your situation early in the process.
How do I apply for HR Business Partner jobs at Deloitte?
Applications go through Deloitte's careers portal at deloitte.com/careers. Search for HR Business Partner or HRBP roles filtered by service line or location. Tailor your application to the specific practice area. You can also browse sponsorship-eligible HRBP postings at Deloitte through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa type so you can confirm sponsorship availability before applying.
What qualifications does Deloitte expect for HR Business Partner candidates?
Deloitte typically expects a bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational psychology, business administration, or a related field, along with several years of progressive HRBP experience. Roles supporting senior business leaders often require experience in workforce planning, talent management, or change management. Professional certifications such as SHRM-SCP or SPHR are listed as preferred on many postings and can strengthen your candidacy.
How do I plan my timeline if Deloitte is sponsoring my H-1B?
If you need a new H-1B, the annual cap registration window opens in March for an October 1 start date. If you're selected in the lottery, your offer and petition must be in place well before that deadline. Deloitte's immigration team typically initiates the process after offer acceptance. If you're transferring an existing H-1B to Deloitte, portability rules under AC21 allow you to start sooner, as long as the petition is filed and your prior employer's petition had been approved for at least 180 days.
