Align your credentials to KPMG's HR model
KPMG's HR Business Partners support specific service lines like audit, tax, and advisory. Frame your resume around business partnering in professional services or matrixed organizations, not generalist HR. A PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-SCP credential strengthens your application.
Target KPMG's office locations strategically
KPMG concentrates HR Business Partner roles in major metros where its largest client-serving offices sit. Applying to locations like New York, Chicago, or Atlanta puts you closer to active headcount and reduces the risk of a role disappearing before sponsorship paperwork clears.
Prepare your degree equivalency documentation early
H-1B specialty occupation status for HR Business Partner roles often requires a degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field. If your degree is from outside the U.S., get a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved agency before interviews begin.
Understand how KPMG structures the LCA filing
Your employer files a Labor Condition Application with DOL certifying your offered wage meets the prevailing wage for your location and role. For KPMG, this is tied to the specific office city, so confirm your work location before the process starts to avoid delays.
Use Migrate Mate to find open HR Business Partner roles at KPMG
Sponsorship-confirmed jobs at KPMG are easier to find when the platform filters by visa type and employer. Search Migrate Mate to surface active HR Business Partner openings at KPMG and apply directly through the listing without guessing which roles are open to sponsored candidates.
Ask about E-3 eligibility if you hold Australian citizenship
KPMG sponsors the E-3 visa for Australian nationals, which bypasses the H-1B lottery entirely and can be filed directly with a U.S. consulate in Australia. If you're Australian, raise E-3 eligibility during the offer stage rather than waiting for your employer to suggest it.

Find HR Business Partner at KPMG JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does KPMG sponsor H-1B visas for HR Business Partners?
Yes, KPMG sponsors H-1B visas for HR Business Partner roles where the position qualifies as a specialty occupation. Because HR Business Partner roles at KPMG require specialized knowledge in workforce strategy, organizational design, or HR business partnering within a professional services environment, they typically meet the specialty occupation threshold USCIS applies. Your degree field and job duties will be the key factors in the petition.
How do I apply for HR Business Partner jobs at KPMG?
Applications go through KPMG's careers portal at kpmg.com/us/careers. You can also find sponsorship-confirmed HR Business Partner openings at KPMG on Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa type so you're not wasting time on positions that won't consider sponsored candidates. Tailor your resume to reflect experience supporting a specific business function or service line, since KPMG's HR model is aligned to its practice areas.
Which visa types does KPMG use for HR Business Partner roles?
KPMG sponsors H-1B visas for most internationally hired HR Business Partners, along with the E-3 for Australian citizens and employment-based Green Cards through EB-2 or EB-3 for longer-tenure hires pursuing permanent residency. The E-3 is particularly useful for Australian nationals since it has no lottery, can be obtained at a U.S. consulate, and is renewable indefinitely as long as qualifying employment continues.
What qualifications does KPMG look for in sponsored HR Business Partners?
KPMG typically expects a bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, organizational psychology, or a related discipline. For sponsored roles, the degree field matters because USCIS will assess whether your education directly supports the duties of the position. Prior HR business partnering experience in a professional services, consulting, or financial services environment carries significant weight, as does demonstrated ability to advise senior leaders on talent decisions.
How do I time my application if I'm on OPT or in H-1B cap season?
If you're on F-1 OPT, KPMG needs enough lead time to file your H-1B petition before USCIS's April 1 filing window, which means starting conversations with recruiters no later than January or February. The H-1B cap lottery runs annually with an October 1 start date for approved petitions. If you miss the lottery cycle, cap-exempt options like OPT STEM extension may bridge the gap depending on your degree and employer eligibility.
