Align Your Degree to KPMG's LCA Filings
KPMG files Labor Condition Applications with the DOL that list a specific specialty occupation for each role. Before applying, confirm your degree field maps directly to accounting, business, or a related discipline so your credentials support the specialty occupation designation KPMG uses for Program Associates.
Target KPMG's Advisory and Audit Practice Lines
Program Associate openings at KPMG are distributed unevenly across service lines. Advisory and Audit practices generate the most consistent Program Associate hiring cycles, so filtering your search to those lines sharpens your odds of landing a role that actively moves through the sponsorship pipeline.
Use Migrate Mate to Track Open Program Associate Roles
Program Associate postings at KPMG open and close quickly during campus recruiting windows. Use Migrate Mate to filter verified sponsorship-eligible openings at KPMG so you're applying to live roles rather than relying on outdated job board listings.
Clarify Sponsorship Eligibility Before Final-Round Interviews
KPMG's recruiting process moves fast once you reach the offer stage. Raise your visa situation directly with the recruiter after receiving a callback, not after the offer letter, so KPMG's immigration team has enough runway to initiate the H-1B or E-3 process before your start date.
Understand the E-3 Advantage if You're Australian
Australian nationals applying for Program Associate roles at KPMG can bypass the H-1B lottery entirely through the E-3 visa, which KPMG supports. The E-3 has a much shorter processing window than H-1B and can be initiated even after the H-1B cap registration period has closed.
Prepare CPA Progress as a Credential Signal
KPMG expects Program Associates to be on a CPA track. Documenting completed CPA exam sections or active exam eligibility in your resume and interview materials signals professional readiness and strengthens the specialty occupation argument KPMG's immigration team will make to USCIS on your behalf.

Find Program Associate at KPMG JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does KPMG sponsor H-1B visas for Program Associates?
Yes, KPMG sponsors H-1B visas for Program Associates who meet the specialty occupation threshold, which requires a bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, business, finance, or a closely related field. KPMG's immigration team manages the process internally, but you'll need to raise your sponsorship need early in recruiting since H-1B cap petitions are subject to the annual lottery and must be filed by April for an October 1 start date.
How do I apply for Program Associate jobs at KPMG?
Applications go through KPMG's careers portal, and most Program Associate roles are filled through on-campus recruiting or early application cycles tied to KPMG's university partnerships. Applying during the target hiring window, typically fall semester for the following year's start dates, gives you the best shot. Migrate Mate surfaces verified Program Associate openings at KPMG filtered by sponsorship eligibility, which helps you identify live postings before they close.
Which visa types does KPMG commonly use for Program Associates?
KPMG most commonly uses H-1B and E-3 visas for Program Associates. H-1B applies to most nationalities and goes through the annual USCIS lottery, while E-3 is exclusively available to Australian citizens and bypasses the cap. For candidates on a longer-term path, KPMG also supports employment-based Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 and EB-3 categories, typically after several years of service.
What qualifications does KPMG expect for Program Associate roles?
KPMG generally expects a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related discipline for Program Associate positions. Many candidates are also enrolled in or eligible for the CPA exam, which KPMG treats as a strong indicator of fit. For visa sponsorship purposes, the degree must align closely enough with the role's duties to satisfy the specialty occupation requirement that USCIS applies when reviewing the H-1B petition.
How do I manage timing if I need H-1B sponsorship to start at KPMG?
The H-1B cap filing window opens in March, with USCIS conducting the lottery in late March or early April and approvals effective October 1. If you receive a KPMG offer before April, your employer can include you in cap registration. A gap between graduation and October 1 is common for F-1 students, who can bridge it using OPT work authorization while the H-1B petition is pending.
