Align Your Degree to Device Operations
Program Associate roles at Medtronic often require a degree in biomedical engineering, supply chain, or a related field. USCIS specialty occupation requirements mean your credentials need a clear match to the role, not just a general STEM background.
Target Medtronic's Rotational Program Pipeline
Medtronic frequently hires Program Associates through early-career and rotational pipelines tied to specific business units. Identifying which division, whether cardiac, surgical, or diabetes, aligns with your background sharpens your application before you reach the offer stage.
Search Medtronic Openings on Migrate Mate
Filtering for Program Associate roles at visa-sponsoring medical device employers saves significant time. Use Migrate Mate to surface active Medtronic openings that match your visa type and stage in the sponsorship process.
Clarify Sponsorship Scope During the Offer Stage
Ask the recruiting team directly whether sponsorship covers only H-1B or extends to permanent residency through PERM. Medtronic supports both for eligible roles, but the scope varies by business unit and your tenure in the position.
Prepare Your LCA Documentation Early
Your employer files the Labor Condition Application with DOL before your H-1B petition can proceed. Gather employment verification, educational credential evaluations, and job description documentation in advance so nothing delays the DOL certification window.

Find Program Associate at Medtronic JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Medtronic sponsor H-1B visas for Program Associates?
Yes, Medtronic sponsors H-1B visas for Program Associate positions. The company has a dedicated immigration team that manages petitions across its business units, including medical devices, surgical technologies, and cardiac rhythm management. Sponsorship is typically initiated after a formal offer, and your role will need to qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS criteria.
Which visa types does Medtronic commonly support for Program Associate roles?
Medtronic supports H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and permanent residency pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for qualifying Program Associates. OPT and CPT are most common for early-career candidates coming directly from university. TN is available for Canadian and Mexican nationals in eligible occupational categories. Longer-term employees may be sponsored for a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process.
How do I apply for Program Associate jobs at Medtronic?
Applications go through Medtronic's careers portal, where you can filter by job function and location. Program Associate openings appear most frequently tied to operations, project management, and product development functions. You can also browse current Medtronic Program Associate roles filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate, which surfaces positions matched to your visa type and authorization stage.
What qualifications does Medtronic expect for Program Associate positions?
Most Program Associate roles at Medtronic require a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as biomedical engineering, supply chain management, life sciences, or business operations. Some positions favor candidates with cross-functional internship experience in a regulated industry. For USCIS specialty occupation purposes, your degree field needs a direct, logical connection to the responsibilities of the specific role you're applying for.
How do I think about timeline when pursuing a sponsored Program Associate role at Medtronic?
If you're targeting H-1B sponsorship, the annual cap filing window opens in March for an October 1 start date. If you're on OPT, map your expiration date against Medtronic's typical hiring and onboarding cycle, which can take several months. STEM OPT extensions give eligible graduates an additional 24 months of work authorization, which meaningfully reduces timing pressure during the H-1B lottery period.
