Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Program Associate Jobs at Blackstone Jobs
Frame your degree for specialty occupation
Blackstone's Program Associate roles typically require a finance, economics, or accounting degree. Make sure your transcript and resume clearly align your field of study to the role's analytical functions, since USCIS evaluates specialty occupation based on that direct connection.
Target Blackstone's structured associate programs
Blackstone recruits Program Associates through defined campus and off-cycle programs with fixed start dates. Applying through those pipelines, rather than open requisitions, puts you in front of the hiring cohorts that already have sponsorship workflows built in.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by visa type
Blackstone posts Program Associate openings across multiple business units. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for roles that align with your visa category, so you're not manually cross-referencing job boards with sponsorship eligibility.
Clarify OPT cap-gap exposure before your offer stage
If you're on F-1 OPT when Blackstone extends an offer, confirm whether your OPT end date falls before an October 1 H-1B start date. A timely H-1B petition with cap-gap coverage through USCIS keeps you continuously authorized while the petition is pending.
Understand how Blackstone's legal team handles LCA filings
Large financial employers like Blackstone process Labor Condition Applications through in-house or retained immigration counsel. Ask your recruiter early whether the LCA will reflect your primary office location, since prevailing wage determinations vary significantly between New York, Chicago, and other Blackstone locations.
Document your international finance exposure concretely
For Green Card sponsorship down the line, PERM requires demonstrating that no qualified U.S. worker is available. Building a record of specialized skills, such as cross-border transaction experience or alternative asset modeling, strengthens the documented basis for that labor market test.

Find Program Associate at Blackstone JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Blackstone sponsor H-1B visas for Program Associates?
Yes, Blackstone sponsors H-1B visas for Program Associate roles. As one of the largest alternative asset managers in the world, Blackstone has established immigration infrastructure and works with experienced counsel to file H-1B petitions for qualifying hires. Sponsorship is most consistent for roles tied to a specific degree field, such as finance, accounting, or economics, which satisfy the H-1B specialty occupation standard.
Which visa types are commonly used for Program Associate roles at Blackstone?
Blackstone sponsors several visa categories for Program Associates, including H-1B, H-1B1 for Chilean and Singaporean nationals, TN for Canadian and Mexican professionals in qualifying occupations, F-1 OPT and CPT for current students, and J-1 for exchange visitors. Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3 classification is available for longer-tenured employees after establishing a track record at the firm.
What qualifications and experience does Blackstone expect for Program Associate roles?
Blackstone's Program Associate positions are typically structured for candidates with a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a closely related field. Strong financial modeling skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with investment concepts are standard expectations. Some roles, particularly within private equity or real estate operations, also value prior internship experience in institutional finance or asset management environments.
How do I apply for Program Associate jobs at Blackstone?
You can find and apply for Program Associate openings at Blackstone through Migrate Mate, which lists roles filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility so you can confirm your visa type is supported before applying. Blackstone also recruits through on-campus programs and its careers portal. Applications typically include a resume, and competitive candidates are screened through phone interviews followed by technical and behavioral rounds.
How do I manage my visa timeline when starting a Program Associate role at Blackstone?
The key is aligning your start date with your authorization status. If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your work authorization end date against Blackstone's planned start date, and ask your recruiter when they intend to file your H-1B petition. USCIS allows H-1B petitions to be filed up to six months before the October 1 start date, so early coordination with Blackstone's immigration team is essential to avoid a gap in employment authorization.
