Frame your credentials around infrastructure consulting
STV's Program Associate roles sit at the intersection of project management and engineering services. Tailor your resume to highlight coursework or experience in transportation, infrastructure, or construction management so your background maps directly to their project delivery work.
Clarify CPT and OPT eligibility with your DSO early
STV accepts F-1 CPT and OPT, but your university's Designated School Official must authorize work authorization before you start. Confirm your STEM OPT extension eligibility if your degree qualifies, since it extends your authorized period and gives STV more runway before sponsoring an H-1B.
Use Migrate Mate to identify open Program Associate roles
STV consistently posts Program Associate openings across multiple locations. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for STV roles that indicate visa sponsorship, so you're applying to positions where the hiring team has already committed to sponsoring international candidates.
Prepare for TN if you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship
TN status is a practical alternative to H-1B for Program Associates in consulting roles that fall under qualifying USMCA categories like engineer or management consultant. Unlike H-1B, TN has no cap and no lottery, so your start date isn't tied to an annual filing window.
Ask about PERM timing during the offer stage
STV sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards, but PERM labor certification through DOL can take 12 to 18 months before an I-140 is even filed. Asking your recruiter early about whether the role is eligible for permanent residency sponsorship helps you plan your long-term status without surprises.

Find Program Associate at STV JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does STV sponsor H-1B visas for Program Associates?
Yes, STV sponsors H-1B visas for Program Associate roles. Because H-1B is subject to an annual cap, timing matters. Your employer needs to file a certified Labor Condition Application with DOL and submit your petition to USCIS during the registration window each spring. If you're already on OPT, you have more flexibility to start before the H-1B takes effect.
How do I apply for Program Associate jobs at STV?
You can search and apply for Program Associate roles directly through STV's careers portal or browse open positions filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate. When applying, tailor your materials to STV's core service areas in infrastructure and transportation. Roles are posted across multiple U.S. office locations, so filtering by region helps you target openings that match your preferences and visa situation.
Which visa types does STV commonly use for Program Associate roles?
STV sponsors H-1B, TN, J-1, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and employment-based Green Cards including EB-2 and EB-3 for Program Associates. F-1 OPT and CPT are typically used for recent graduates, while H-1B and TN cover longer-term employment. Green Card sponsorship through PERM is available for roles that qualify as permanent positions within STV's project delivery teams.
What qualifications does STV expect for Program Associate positions?
Program Associate roles at STV generally require a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, urban planning, or a related field. Practical exposure to infrastructure projects, scheduling tools, or contract administration strengthens your candidacy. For specialty occupation H-1B eligibility, your degree must be directly relevant to the specific duties of the role as defined under USCIS criteria.
How does the visa sponsorship process work once STV offers me a role?
After an offer is extended, STV's immigration team or external counsel initiates the process. For H-1B, that starts with a DOL Labor Condition Application, which must be certified before USCIS filing. For Green Card sponsorship via PERM, the process involves a supervised DOL recruitment period before the I-140 petition can be filed. Build realistic expectations around government processing timelines when negotiating your start date.
