Frame your PMP credentials for infrastructure consulting
STV's project management roles sit inside engineering and infrastructure consulting, not general corporate PMO. Tailor your resume to show delivery experience on capital projects, transit systems, or public-sector programs rather than software or internal operations work.
Confirm your role qualifies as a specialty occupation
USCIS requires H-1B positions to demand a specific bachelor's degree field. For Project Program Manager roles, tie your application narrative to a degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a directly related discipline to avoid a Request for Evidence.
Target STV offices in active project corridors
STV concentrates hiring around funded transportation and infrastructure programs. Searching by region rather than just job title surfaces openings tied to active contracts, where headcount approval and sponsorship budget are already in place rather than still pending.
Search open Project Program Manager roles on Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate filters STV's Project Program Manager openings by visa type so you can identify which postings explicitly support H-1B, TN, or OPT candidates without sifting through listings that exclude sponsorship.
Ask about LCA filing timing before accepting an offer
Your employer must file a certified Labor Condition Application with DOL before USCIS can process your H-1B petition. Clarify with STV's HR team how far in advance of your start date they initiate this step to avoid gaps in your work authorization.
Align your OPT start date with STV's project cycle
If you're entering on F-1 OPT, your 12-month authorization window starts on the date you select, not your hire date. Coordinate with STV so your OPT period overlaps with the H-1B cap filing window the following April, preserving continuous work authorization.

Find Project Program Manager at STV JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does STV sponsor H-1B visas for Project Program Managers?
Yes, STV sponsors H-1B visas for Project Program Manager roles. Because these positions typically require a specific degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field, they meet USCIS's specialty occupation standard. STV initiates the Labor Condition Application with DOL and files the H-1B petition, so the sponsorship burden falls on the employer rather than the candidate.
Which visa types are commonly used for Project Program Manager roles at STV?
H-1B is the most common pathway for Project Program Managers at STV, covering most international hires. F-1 OPT and CPT are used for recent graduates entering the role, while TN visas apply to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. Candidates on longer-term tracks may also pursue Green Card sponsorship through PERM-based EB-2 or EB-3 filings after establishing tenure.
How do I apply for Project Program Manager jobs at STV?
Applications go through STV's careers portal, where Project Program Manager openings are listed by region and project type. Use Migrate Mate to filter STV's open roles by visa sponsorship eligibility before applying, so you're focusing on postings that align with your work authorization status. Tailoring your application to the specific infrastructure or consulting program referenced in the job description strengthens your candidacy significantly.
What qualifications and experience does STV expect for Project Program Manager roles?
STV's Project Program Manager positions typically require a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, architecture, or a related field, along with meaningful experience managing multi-phase projects in infrastructure, transit, or public-sector consulting. PMP certification strengthens your profile. Familiarity with contract administration, stakeholder coordination across government clients, and scheduling tools like Primavera P6 reflects the day-to-day demands of the role.
How do I time my visa filing if I receive an offer from STV?
If you're pursuing an H-1B, STV must file during the annual cap registration window in March for an October 1 start date. That gap can be six months or longer, so confirm your current work authorization covers the bridge period. If you're on OPT with a STEM extension, you have up to 36 months of post-graduation work authorization, which provides more flexibility to align with the filing timeline without interrupting employment.
