Align your credentials to consulting delivery standards
Westwood evaluates Project Program Managers on structured methodology experience, such as PMP certification or agile frameworks. Ensure your resume explicitly maps these credentials to client-facing program delivery, not just internal project work, before you apply.
Target roles with active client contract pipelines
Consulting firms like Westwood often post Project Program Manager openings tied to specific contract wins. Prioritize postings that reference a defined client engagement or sector, since those roles are more likely to move quickly through an offer and sponsorship decision.
Ask directly about H-1B filing timelines during offer
USCIS H-1B cap filings open in March for an October 1 start. If your offer lands outside that window, clarify whether Westwood will use cap-exempt status or premium processing to bridge your start date without a gap in authorization.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by visa type
Westwood posts Project Program Manager positions across multiple portals. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Westwood openings that match your visa category, so you're applying to roles where sponsorship is already confirmed rather than discovering it late in the process.
Prepare a specialty occupation narrative for H-1B filing
USCIS scrutinizes program management roles under the specialty occupation standard. Work with Westwood's immigration counsel before the I-129 is filed to document that your position requires a specific bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field, not just general business experience.

Does Westwood Professional Services sponsor H-1B visas for Project Program Managers?
Yes, Westwood Professional Services has sponsored H-1B visas for Project Program Manager roles. As a consulting and professional services firm, they work with immigration counsel to support this function. If you're in the H-1B lottery cycle, confirm your offer timing against the USCIS April registration window so your start date aligns with the October 1 cap period.
How do I apply for Project Program Manager jobs at Westwood Professional Services?
You can browse and apply for Project Program Manager positions at Westwood Professional Services directly through Migrate Mate, which filters open roles by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm eligibility before applying. Westwood's postings typically request a resume, cover letter, and relevant certifications such as PMP. Apply early when new contract-linked postings go live, as these roles fill faster than general openings.
Which visa types does Westwood Professional Services commonly use for Project Program Manager roles?
Westwood sponsors several visa categories for Project Program Managers, including H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, J-1, and EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card pathways. The right category depends on your nationality, degree, and authorization timeline. TN visas apply to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional roles, while EB-2 and EB-3 require PERM labor certification through the DOL before the immigrant petition can proceed.
What qualifications does Westwood Professional Services expect for Project Program Manager candidates?
Westwood typically expects a bachelor's degree in business, engineering, information systems, or a related field, combined with demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs in a consulting or client-delivery environment. PMP certification strengthens your application. For H-1B sponsorship, your degree must align directly with the role, since USCIS requires the position to qualify as a specialty occupation under a specific field of study.
How long does the sponsorship and hiring process take for Project Program Manager roles at Westwood?
Timeline depends on your visa category. F-1 OPT authorization is immediate if your EAD is active. H-1B cap sponsorship runs on a fixed USCIS cycle, with registration in March and a start date no earlier than October 1. Premium processing can reduce the I-129 adjudication window to 15 business days once the petition is filed. TN status for Canadians can be obtained at the port of entry in a single day, making it a faster path if you qualify.
