Align your PM credentials with consulting norms
Westwood operates in consulting, where a PMP certification or equivalent project management credential signals you can bill clients from day one. Get your certification documented and ready before you apply, not after you receive an offer.
Target Westwood during active OPT windows
Westwood's Project Manager openings span multiple practice areas, so your F-1 OPT window is a practical entry point. Apply before your OPT authorization expires to give the employer enough runway to evaluate you and initiate an H-1B or EB sponsorship process.
Search open Project Manager roles on Migrate Mate
Westwood posts Project Manager openings across different specializations. Use Migrate Mate to filter for Westwood's current listings by visa type, so you're applying only to roles where sponsorship is already confirmed and available.
Ask recruiters specifically about LCA filing timelines
Before accepting an offer, confirm when Westwood plans to file the Labor Condition Application with DOL. In consulting, project start dates can shift, and a delayed LCA can push back your H-1B petition and your authorized start date.
Frame your resume around deliverables, not duties
Consulting clients judge Project Managers on outcomes. Rewrite your resume to lead with completed milestones, budget management, and cross-functional team results rather than a list of responsibilities. This framing resonates with Westwood's client-facing delivery model.
Understand how PERM affects your long-term status
If Westwood sponsors you for an EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card, the process starts with PERM labor certification through DOL. For Project Manager roles, PERM requires demonstrating no minimally qualified U.S. workers are available, which can add time to your permanent residency timeline.

Find Project Manager at Westwood Professional Services JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Westwood Professional Services sponsor H-1B visas for Project Managers?
Yes, Westwood Professional Services sponsors H-1B visas for Project Manager roles. As a consulting and professional services firm, Westwood regularly works with skilled professionals in nonimmigrant status. If you're currently on H-1B with another employer, Westwood can file an H-1B transfer petition, which lets you start work once USCIS receives the petition rather than waiting for full approval.
How do I apply for Project Manager jobs at Westwood Professional Services?
You can browse and apply for Westwood's open Project Manager positions through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship type so you know upfront whether a role supports your status. When applying, tailor your materials to consulting-specific project delivery and include any relevant certifications. Reaching out directly to Westwood's recruiting team after submitting an application can also improve your visibility.
Which visa types does Westwood Professional Services commonly use for Project Manager roles?
Westwood sponsors multiple visa categories for Project Manager positions, including H-1B, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, F-1 OPT and CPT for students completing degrees, J-1 for exchange visitors, and EB-2 or EB-3 for candidates pursuing permanent residency. The right visa depends on your nationality, education, and how far along you are in your immigration timeline.
What qualifications does Westwood Professional Services expect for sponsored Project Manager roles?
Most Project Manager roles at Westwood require a bachelor's degree in business, engineering, information systems, or a related field, which also supports the specialty occupation standard required for H-1B eligibility. A PMP certification strengthens your application in a consulting environment. Client-facing experience, familiarity with project management methodologies like Agile or Waterfall, and demonstrated ability to manage scope and stakeholders are commonly expected.
How long does it take to get work authorization in place after receiving an offer from Westwood Professional Services?
Timeline depends heavily on your current status. An H-1B transfer from an existing petition can go into effect as soon as USCIS receives Westwood's petition, often within days. A new H-1B cap-subject petition is only available once per year through USCIS's lottery, with an October 1 start date. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship typically takes one to several years depending on your country of birth and priority date.
