Align your credentials to consulting PM frameworks
Arcadis evaluates Project Managers against consulting-specific competencies, so frame your resume around client delivery, scope management, and multi-stakeholder coordination. A PMP or PRINCE2 certification signals fluency in the structured methodology Arcadis uses across global infrastructure engagements.
Target sector-aligned PM openings first
Arcadis organizes hiring by practice area, so water, environment, and transportation roles often have stronger pipelines than generalist PM postings. Applying within a practice where your technical background fits increases the likelihood that the hiring manager already has budget and a visa sponsorship precedent.
Clarify sponsorship intent before the second interview
Arcadis recruits globally and routinely files across multiple visa categories for PM roles. Raise your visa situation after the first screening, not at the offer stage. Waiting until an offer is extended can create delays if the hiring team hasn't flagged you for their immigration vendor early.
Understand how TN and H-1B timelines differ
If you're a Canadian or Mexican national, TN status can be secured at the port of entry with no USCIS processing wait. For H-1B, the October 1 start date means Arcadis must file during the April cap season, so roles starting mid-year may require a gap or interim OPT extension.
Use Migrate Mate to filter live Arcadis PM openings
Arcadis posts PM roles across multiple job boards and internal channels, making it hard to track what's current. Use Migrate Mate to surface active Project Manager positions at Arcadis filtered by visa sponsorship type so you're applying to roles already matched to your status.
Prepare documentation before the offer stage
Once Arcadis extends an offer, their immigration team typically moves quickly to USCIS filing prep. Have your educational credential evaluation, passport copies, and employment history ready before negotiations close so you don't slow down the Labor Condition Application process with the DOL.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Arcadis sponsor H-1B visas for Project Managers?
Yes, Arcadis sponsors H-1B visas for Project Manager roles and has a consistent pattern of doing so across its infrastructure and environmental consulting practices. Project Managers typically qualify under the specialty occupation standard because the role requires a bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, construction management, or a related technical field. Arcadis works with an immigration vendor to manage USCIS filings, so the process is structured once an offer is made.
How do I apply for Project Manager jobs at Arcadis?
You can apply directly through the Arcadis careers portal, where roles are organized by practice area and region. For a faster, sponsorship-filtered view, browse Project Manager openings at Arcadis on Migrate Mate, which surfaces active postings matched to your visa type. Tailoring your application to the specific practice area, such as water, environment, or buildings, significantly improves your chances of passing initial screening.
Which visa types does Arcadis commonly use for Project Manager roles?
Arcadis sponsors a range of visa categories for Project Managers, including H-1B, H-1B1 visa for Chilean and Singaporean nationals, TN visa for Canadian and Mexican nationals, and F-1 OPT including STEM OPT extensions. For candidates pursuing permanent residence, Arcadis also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways through the PERM labor certification process, typically after a period of full-time employment.
What qualifications does Arcadis expect for sponsored Project Manager positions?
Arcadis generally expects a bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, environmental science, or a related technical discipline, combined with demonstrated project delivery experience in a consulting or infrastructure context. A PMP certification is frequently listed as preferred rather than required. For H-1B sponsorship purposes, your degree field must align with the specific PM role, so a generalist business degree without technical coursework may not satisfy USCIS specialty occupation criteria.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take when joining Arcadis as a Project Manager?
Timeline depends on visa type. TN status for Canadian nationals can be processed at the border on your start date. H-1B cap-subject filings require Arcadis to submit a registration in March, with a potential October 1 start date if selected. STEM OPT extensions give you up to 24 additional months of work authorization while an H-1B petition is pending, which Arcadis typically accommodates. PERM-based Green Card processing through DOL can take one to three years beyond your initial hire date.
