Frame your credentials around specialty occupation standards
USCIS approves H-1B petitions for Business Managers when the role requires a specific bachelor's degree field, not just any degree. Position your consulting credentials around a defined discipline like business administration, finance, or engineering to strengthen the specialty occupation argument.
Target Arcadis practice areas with active pipelines
Arcadis staffs Business Managers across infrastructure, water, and environment practices. Applying directly to openings aligned with your technical consulting background increases your chances of reaching a hiring manager who already has budget and sponsorship approval in place.
Ask about LCA filing timing before accepting an offer
Your employer must file a certified Labor Condition Application with the DOL before USCIS can process your H-1B petition. Confirm with Arcadis HR whether LCA preparation is handled in-house or through outside counsel, since this affects your actual start date.
Clarify OPT cap-gap coverage during the offer stage
If you're on F-1 OPT when Arcadis extends an offer, your authorization may expire before an H-1B takes effect on October 1. Confirm your OPT end date against the cap-gap rules so there's no gap in your ability to work legally through the transition.
Search Arcadis Business Manager roles through Migrate Mate
Filtering for Business Manager openings at consulting firms that actively sponsor visas saves significant time in your search. Use Migrate Mate to surface verified Arcadis postings filtered by visa type, so you're only applying where sponsorship is a realistic outcome.
Build a PERM-ready employment record early
Arcadis sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for long-term employees. The PERM labor certification process requires documented proof of your qualifications before your priority date. Keeping organized records of your degrees, performance reviews, and project history from day one shortens the PERM preparation phase later.

Does Arcadis sponsor H-1B visas for Business Managers?
Yes, Arcadis sponsors H-1B visas for Business Manager roles. The company works with immigration counsel to file petitions and Labor Condition Applications with DOL on behalf of qualifying candidates. Because H-1B sponsorship depends on the specific role, your degree field, and prevailing wage compliance, expect detailed conversations with HR about your qualifications before an offer is finalized.
Which visa types does Arcadis commonly use for Business Manager roles?
Arcadis supports a range of visa categories for Business Managers, including H-1B, H-1B1 for Chilean and Singaporean nationals, TN for Canadian and Mexican professionals, F-1 OPT and CPT for students and recent graduates, J-1 for exchange visitors, and EB-2 or EB-3 immigrant visas for employees pursuing permanent residency. The appropriate category depends on your nationality, education, and career stage.
What qualifications does Arcadis expect for Business Manager positions?
Arcadis typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, finance, or a related discipline, combined with consulting or project management experience. For H-1B sponsorship purposes, your degree must directly relate to the role's duties. Relevant industry certifications and demonstrated experience managing client accounts or project delivery teams strengthen both your application and the sponsorship case.
How do I apply for Business Manager jobs at Arcadis?
You can find and apply for Business Manager openings at Arcadis through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm sponsorship eligibility before applying. Applications typically go through Arcadis's careers portal, where you'll submit your resume and complete an initial screening. Be transparent about your visa status early in the process so HR can assess sponsorship feasibility alongside your candidacy.
How do I plan my timeline around Arcadis's H-1B sponsorship process?
H-1B petitions are subject to an annual cap with a filing window that opens in April for an October 1 start date. If Arcadis extends you an offer between January and March, that timing aligns well for cap-subject filing. If you're already on OPT, factor in your OPT expiration and cap-gap eligibility. USCIS standard processing takes several months, so premium processing is an option if you need a faster decision.
