Frame your credentials around infrastructure advisory
Arcadis Management Consultant roles sit within engineering-adjacent consulting practices. Make sure your resume and degree credentials clearly connect to infrastructure, environmental, or asset management domains, since USCIS scrutinizes specialty occupation fit closely for consulting petitions.
Target Arcadis offices in major project markets
Arcadis staffs Management Consultants closest to active client engagements in cities like New York, Chicago, and Houston. Applying to offices in these markets gives you stronger alignment with open headcount and faster hiring manager engagement than applying broadly.
Search verified sponsoring employers on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Management Consultant openings at Arcadis by visa type before you apply. This lets you confirm which specific roles and locations have active sponsorship support, saving you from investing in applications where sponsorship is uncertain.
Clarify LCA timing before accepting an offer
Arcadis must file a certified Labor Condition Application with the DOL before submitting your H-1B petition to USCIS. Ask your recruiter where the company is in that process so you can plan your start date realistically, especially if you're transitioning from OPT.
Secure strong documentation of your degree equivalency
Consulting specialty occupation denials often hinge on whether your degree directly relates to the work. Get a credential evaluation from a NACES-member evaluator early, particularly if your degree is from outside the U.S. or is in a field adjacent to the role.
Negotiate OPT extension timing into your start date
If you're on F-1 OPT and Arcadis sponsors your H-1B, your OPT cap-gap protection covers you through September 30 of the lottery year if your petition is filed in April. Confirm with HR that your employment start date accounts for this window correctly.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Arcadis sponsor H-1B visas for Management Consultants?
Yes, Arcadis sponsors H-1B visas for Management Consultants. The company operates across infrastructure, environment, and built asset consulting, and regularly files H-1B petitions for qualified candidates in this function. Sponsorship is most common for roles tied to active client engagements, so positions in larger U.S. offices tend to carry the strongest sponsorship support.
Which visa types does Arcadis commonly use for Management Consultant roles?
Arcadis supports several visa categories for Management Consultants, including H-1B and H-1B1 visa for specialty occupation workers, TN visa for Canadian and Mexican nationals, F-1 OPT and CPT for recent graduates, and J-1 visa for exchange visitors. For longer-term employees, Arcadis also sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways through the PERM labor certification process.
How do I apply for Management Consultant jobs at Arcadis?
You can browse and apply for Management Consultant openings at Arcadis through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can identify positions where your visa situation is a fit before applying. Applications typically move through an initial recruiter screen, a competency-based interview, and a case or technical presentation relevant to Arcadis's consulting practice areas.
What qualifications does Arcadis expect for Management Consultant positions?
Arcadis generally expects a bachelor's degree or higher in a field directly relevant to the consulting practice area, such as civil engineering, environmental science, finance, or business management. For H-1B purposes, the degree must relate specifically to the role's duties. Relevant project experience in infrastructure, asset management, or environmental advisory strengthens both your application and the specialty occupation case.
How do I plan my timeline if Arcadis is sponsoring my H-1B for a Management Consultant role?
H-1B petitions are subject to an annual lottery with a filing window in early April and an October 1 start date if selected. If you're already in the U.S. on F-1 OPT, your cap-gap protection covers you through September 30. Confirm with Arcadis's HR team whether they use USCIS premium processing, which reduces adjudication to 15 business days and provides certainty on your start date.
