Align Your Degree to Specialty Occupation Standards
Management Consultant roles at CrossCountry require a degree in accounting, finance, business, or a closely related field. Make sure your credentials clearly map to the specific advisory practice you're targeting, because USCIS evaluates specialty occupation fit by job function, not job title.
Target CrossCountry's Accounting Advisory Practice First
CrossCountry's heaviest hiring concentration sits in accounting and auditing advisory. Applying to roles within that practice increases your relevance as a sponsored candidate, since the firm is most familiar with sponsoring for those client-facing functions and the DOL wage data supports those filings cleanly.
Search Open Management Consultant Roles on Migrate Mate
CrossCountry Consulting lists Management Consultant openings that are open to visa sponsorship. Use Migrate Mate to filter directly to those roles so you're applying to positions where sponsorship is already expected, not negotiating it after the fact.
Clarify OPT Cap-Gap Coverage Before Your Start Date
If you're transitioning from F-1 OPT to an H-1B at CrossCountry, confirm your cap-gap protection covers your employment gap. USCIS cap-gap rules extend OPT status through September 30 of the lottery year if your H-1B petition is filed on time, but you need to verify your I-20 reflects the extension.
Ask Recruiters Directly About PERM Timeline Expectations
CrossCountry sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for Management Consultants, but PERM labor certification through DOL can run 12 to 18 months before USCIS ever sees your I-140. Ask during the offer stage what the firm's typical cadence is for initiating permanent residence for consultants.
Get Your LCA Certified Before Negotiating a Start Date
For H-1B and E-3 transfers to CrossCountry, the firm must file a Labor Condition Application with DOL before your I-129 can go to USCIS. DOL LCA certification typically takes seven business days. Build that window into your transition timeline so your start date doesn't slip.

Does CrossCountry Consulting sponsor H-1B visas for Management Consultants?
Yes, CrossCountry Consulting sponsors H-1B visas for Management Consultant roles. The firm has an established sponsorship process for consulting functions, particularly within its accounting and auditing advisory practices. If you're already on an H-1B with another employer, CrossCountry can file an H-1B transfer petition, which lets you start work as soon as USCIS receives it.
How do I apply for Management Consultant jobs at CrossCountry Consulting?
You can browse open Management Consultant positions at CrossCountry Consulting directly on Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles where visa sponsorship is part of the hiring process. Apply through the job listing and indicate your visa status upfront. CrossCountry's recruiting team is experienced with sponsored hires, so being transparent about your authorization timeline from the first conversation helps move things along.
Which visa types does CrossCountry Consulting commonly use for Management Consultant hires?
CrossCountry Consulting sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, and F-1 OPT for Management Consultant roles, and supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways for longer-term employees. E-3 is available only to Australian citizens. TN applies to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying consulting categories. F-1 OPT is typically the starting point for recent graduates before transitioning to a longer-term nonimmigrant status.
What qualifications does CrossCountry Consulting expect from Management Consultant candidates?
CrossCountry typically looks for a bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field, combined with client-facing advisory or consulting experience. For accounting and auditing practice roles, CPA progress or licensure is a meaningful differentiator. USCIS also requires that your degree field directly relates to the consulting function you're being hired for, so a clear connection between your credentials and the role strengthens both your application and any visa petition.
How do I manage my visa timeline when transitioning to a Management Consultant role at CrossCountry Consulting?
The biggest timing risk is the gap between accepting an offer and having valid work authorization in place. For H-1B and E-3 transfers, CrossCountry must obtain a certified Labor Condition Application from DOL before filing your petition with USCIS, which takes at least seven business days. For OPT transitions, confirm your cap-gap coverage if you're waiting on H-1B approval. Align your proposed start date with these filing windows before signing an offer.
