Align your credentials to advisory frameworks
CrossCountry's Development Manager roles in accounting and auditing advisory typically require demonstrated experience with ERP implementations, financial controls, or audit transformation. Before applying, map your resume explicitly to those delivery areas so your background reads as a direct match, not a stretch.
Target roles with active client engagements
CrossCountry staffs Development Managers against live client projects, so postings tied to specific practice areas signal immediate hiring intent. Prioritize applications to those listings rather than evergreen postings, which often reflect pipeline building rather than an open seat with budget approved.
Confirm your visa category before the offer stage
CrossCountry sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, F-1 OPT, and Green Card pathways. Knowing which category fits your nationality and degree field before the offer conversation prevents delays. E-3 applicants, for example, can move faster than H-1B lottery timelines, which matters to a firm planning project staffing.
Use Migrate Mate to surface live openings
Development Manager positions at CrossCountry can open and close quickly around engagement cycles. Search Migrate Mate to filter for verified sponsoring employers in the accounting and auditing advisory space so you're applying to active roles, not outdated listings.
Prepare your LCA documentation in parallel with offer negotiation
Your employer files the Labor Condition Application with DOL before USCIS can process an H-1B or E-3 petition. Ask your CrossCountry recruiter which internal team owns visa filings early, so LCA prep begins the moment an offer is verbal rather than after paperwork is signed.
Document consulting project outcomes with measurable results
USCIS specialty occupation reviews for Development Manager roles in advisory can scrutinize whether the position genuinely requires a degree in a specific field. Concrete evidence of project scope, team size, and business outcomes strengthens both your resume and any supporting documentation your employer submits.

Find Development Manager at CrossCountry Consulting JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does CrossCountry Consulting sponsor H-1B visas for Development Managers?
Yes, CrossCountry Consulting sponsors H-1B visas for Development Manager roles. Because H-1B visas are subject to an annual lottery with an 85,000-slot cap, timing matters. If you're already in H-1B status with another employer, a transfer is possible without re-entering the lottery. New applicants should plan around the April filing window and explore whether an F-1 OPT bridge is available in the interim.
How do I apply for Development Manager jobs at CrossCountry Consulting?
You can find and apply for Development Manager openings at CrossCountry Consulting through Migrate Mate, which filters for employers with verified visa sponsorship histories in accounting and advisory. When you apply, tailor your experience to CrossCountry's practice areas such as finance transformation, ERP advisory, or audit operations. Reaching out to a CrossCountry recruiter directly after submitting can accelerate your application through their intake process.
Which visa types does CrossCountry Consulting commonly use for Development Manager roles?
CrossCountry Consulting sponsors several visa categories for Development Manager positions, including H-1B, E-3 for Australian citizens, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals under USMCA, F-1 OPT for recent graduates, and employment-based Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3. The right category depends on your nationality, degree field, and where you are in your career. E-3 and TN holders benefit from processing paths that bypass the H-1B lottery entirely.
What qualifications does CrossCountry Consulting expect for Development Manager candidates?
CrossCountry typically looks for Development Managers with a bachelor's degree or higher in a field relevant to their advisory practice, such as accounting, finance, information systems, or business. Beyond credentials, they prioritize candidates with hands-on experience leading project workstreams in consulting environments, familiarity with financial controls or ERP platforms, and the ability to manage client relationships directly. Certifications like CPA or PMP can strengthen your application in the accounting and auditing practice.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Development Manager role at CrossCountry Consulting?
Timeline depends on visa type. F-1 OPT authorization can be in place within weeks if your EAD is already approved. E-3 and TN visas can move from offer to work authorization in four to eight weeks in straightforward cases. H-1B petitions filed under standard processing take three to six months after the October 1 start date, though USCIS premium processing can reduce adjudication to roughly two weeks. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship typically spans one to three years depending on your country of birth and priority date.
