Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding HR Consultant Jobs at CrossCountry Consulting Jobs
Frame Your HR Credentials for U.S. Clients
CrossCountry deploys HR Consultants directly into client environments, so translate your experience into deliverable-focused language. Highlight workforce transformation, change management, or HR tech implementations rather than internal HR operations.
Research CrossCountry's Active HR Openings Early
CrossCountry posts HR Consultant roles across multiple practice areas. Use Migrate Mate to filter open positions by visa type so you spend time on roles actively open to sponsored candidates rather than applying broadly and following up blind.
Verify Your Degree Supports a Specialty Occupation Filing
H-1B eligibility for HR Consultant roles hinges on your degree aligning specifically to the position. A general business degree may face USCIS scrutiny. A degree in human resources, industrial-organizational psychology, or a closely related field strengthens the petition substantially.
Align Your Timeline to the H-1B Cap Window
If you need cap-subject H-1B sponsorship, USCIS registration opens in March for an October 1 start date. Targeting CrossCountry's recruiting cycle in late fall or early winter gives you time to receive an offer before the registration window opens.
Prepare Documentation for PERM Before Your Start Date
For longer-term Green Card pathways through EB-2 or EB-3, DOL's PERM process requires detailed recruitment records from CrossCountry. Confirm with your immigration contact at the firm whether they initiate PERM concurrently with H-1B filing or after your first renewal.

Find HR Consultant at CrossCountry Consulting JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does CrossCountry Consulting sponsor H-1B visas for HR Consultants?
Yes, CrossCountry Consulting has sponsored H-1B visas for HR Consultant roles. Because the position involves specialized human capital consulting within accounting and professional services engagements, it typically qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, which is the threshold the petition must clear. If you are cap-subject, the firm would need to register you in the March lottery for an October 1 start.
How do I apply for HR Consultant jobs at CrossCountry Consulting?
You can browse and apply for open HR Consultant positions at CrossCountry Consulting through Migrate Mate, which filters job listings by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm sponsorship availability before applying. CrossCountry also posts directly on its careers page. Tailoring your application to client-facing HR deliverables, such as workforce planning, organizational design, or HR technology implementations, aligns with what the firm's consulting model requires.
Which visa types does CrossCountry Consulting typically use for HR Consultant sponsorship?
CrossCountry Consulting sponsors several visa categories for HR Consultants, including H-1B, E-3 for Australian nationals, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying HR roles, and F-1 OPT for recent graduates. For longer-term pathways, the firm has also supported EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship. The right category depends on your nationality, degree, and where you are in your career.
What qualifications does CrossCountry Consulting expect for HR Consultant roles?
CrossCountry typically looks for a bachelor's degree or higher in human resources, organizational behavior, business, or a closely related field, alongside demonstrated experience in HR consulting or HR business partnering. Client-facing experience is weighted heavily given the firm's project-based model. Certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR can strengthen your profile, and experience supporting HR functions within accounting or professional services firms is a practical advantage.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for an HR Consultant role at CrossCountry?
Timeline depends on the visa type. E-3 and TN petitions can be processed relatively quickly, often within a few weeks for consular appointments or at the port of entry. H-1B sponsorship tied to the annual cap means an October 1 start at the earliest, with USCIS registration in March. USCIS premium processing for H-1B petitions is available and can reduce adjudication time to around 15 business days once the petition is filed.
