Frame your credentials for specialty occupation review
Consulting roles at CrossCountry live under close USCIS specialty occupation scrutiny. Make sure your degree field directly maps to accounting, advisory, or auditing work, a general business degree without relevant specialization can create problems at the petition stage.
Target CrossCountry's accounting advisory practice areas
CrossCountry staffs heavily in technical accounting, financial reporting, and audit readiness. Positioning your background toward these specific service lines, not generic consulting, signals fit with the roles most likely to generate sponsorship through H-1B or E-3.
Search open Professional Services Consultant roles on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter CrossCountry Consulting's current Professional Services Consultant openings by visa type, so you're applying to roles where sponsorship has already been confirmed rather than guessing from a standard job board.
Clarify visa type fit before your final interview
CrossCountry sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, F-1 OPT, and EB-2/EB-3 pathways. Knowing which applies to your citizenship and status before offer discussions lets you ask precise questions and signals to the hiring team that you understand the process.
Align your start date with H-1B cap timing
If you need a cap-subject H-1B, USCIS registration opens in March for an October 1 start. Build your CrossCountry application timeline backward from that window, and ask your recruiter early whether the role qualifies for cap-exempt filing instead.
Get your PERM documentation ready for permanent residency
For EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship, CrossCountry must complete a DOL PERM labor certification before filing your immigrant petition. Collecting employer verification letters, performance records, and degree transcripts early reduces delays when the employer initiates that process.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does CrossCountry Consulting sponsor H-1B visas for Professional Services Consultants?
Yes, CrossCountry Consulting sponsors H-1B visas for Professional Services Consultant roles. The firm works with candidates across accounting and advisory practices who require sponsorship. If you need a cap-subject H-1B, the process is tied to USCIS's annual registration window each March, so timing your application accordingly is essential.
Which visa types does CrossCountry Consulting support for Professional Services Consultant roles?
CrossCountry Consulting has sponsored H-1B, E-3 visa, TN visa, F-1 OPT, and EB-2/EB-3 Green Card pathways for Professional Services Consultants. Australian citizens may find the E-3 visa a faster route than H-1B since it bypasses the lottery. Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying consulting roles may be eligible for TN visa status.
How do I apply for Professional Services Consultant jobs at CrossCountry Consulting?
You can browse and apply to open Professional Services Consultant roles at CrossCountry Consulting through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm sponsorship availability before applying. CrossCountry's hiring process typically involves recruiter screening, technical accounting or advisory case interviews, and offer discussion before any visa petition is initiated.
What qualifications does CrossCountry Consulting expect for Professional Services Consultant roles?
CrossCountry generally looks for candidates with a bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, often with CPA eligibility or progress toward certification. Hands-on experience in technical accounting, financial reporting, audit support, or advisory engagements strengthens your profile. For visa purposes, your degree must directly support a specialty occupation determination under USCIS standards.
How do I understand the visa sponsorship timeline for a Professional Services Consultant offer at CrossCountry Consulting?
The timeline depends on your visa type. F-1 OPT can begin immediately if your EAD is active. TN and E-3 can be processed at a port of entry or consulate in a matter of weeks. H-1B cap-subject petitions require planning around the USCIS March registration window, with employment starting no earlier than October 1. EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card sponsorship involves DOL PERM and can take considerably longer.
