Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Professional Services Consultant Jobs at WSP Jobs
Frame Your Credentials Around Specialty Occupation Standards
WSP's Professional Services Consultant roles typically require a directly related degree, not just a general business background. Organize your credentials to show the specific field your degree covers maps cleanly to the advisory or technical function you'll be performing.
Target WSP Practice Areas With Active Hiring
WSP organizes consulting work into distinct practices like environmental, transportation, and built environment advisory. Research which practice areas align with your technical background before applying, since sponsorship decisions are often made at the practice level, not centrally.
Understand Which Visa Fits Your Nationality
Australian citizens should know the E-3 is a faster, cap-exempt path to a Professional Services Consultant offer at WSP. Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify for TN status. Identifying your strongest visa category before interviews avoids delays once an offer is extended.
Use Migrate Mate to Surface WSP Openings Early
Professional Services Consultant roles at WSP can open across dozens of U.S. offices simultaneously and close quickly. Use Migrate Mate to filter WSP listings by visa type and location so you're applying to live roles, not stale postings, from the moment they go up.
Ask About LCA Timing Before Accepting an Offer
Your start date depends on when WSP files the Labor Condition Application with DOL, which must be certified before your visa petition can move forward. Confirm the expected LCA timeline during offer negotiations so your start date doesn't get pushed back after you've accepted.
Prepare Your I-94 and Status Documentation Before Onboarding
WSP uses E-Verify for all new hires, which requires you to confirm valid work authorization within three business days of starting. Have your I-94 admission record, visa stamp, and any approval notices organized in advance so E-Verify clears without delays on your first week.

Does WSP sponsor H-1B visas for Professional Services Consultants?
Yes, WSP sponsors H-1B visas for Professional Services Consultant roles. Because H-1B is subject to an annual cap and lottery, timing matters: WSP typically needs to plan sponsorship well ahead of your intended start date. If you're already in H-1B status with another employer, a transfer petition can move faster than a new cap-subject filing.
How do I apply for Professional Services Consultant jobs at WSP?
Applications go through WSP's careers portal, where roles are listed by practice area and office location. Migrate Mate filters WSP's open Professional Services Consultant positions by visa sponsorship type, so you can identify roles where your specific visa category is supported before you apply. Tailoring your resume to the technical practice area listed in the job description increases your callback rate.
Which visa types does WSP commonly use for Professional Services Consultant roles?
WSP sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, and F-1 OPT and CPT for Professional Services Consultants, and supports Green Card sponsorship through the EB-2 and EB-3 categories for longer-term employees. The right visa depends on your nationality and your current status. E-3 is available to Australian citizens only, while TN applies to Canadian and Mexican nationals under USMCA.
What qualifications does WSP expect for Professional Services Consultant roles?
Most Professional Services Consultant positions at WSP require a bachelor's degree in a field directly related to the advisory work, such as civil engineering, environmental science, urban planning, or a related discipline. Relevant project experience, professional certifications, and demonstrated technical or client-facing skills carry significant weight, particularly for roles that require H-1B sponsorship under specialty occupation standards.
How long does the visa process take once WSP extends an offer?
Timeline depends on your visa category. For H-1B transfers or cap-exempt filings, USCIS standard processing runs three to six months, while premium processing can reduce that to 15 business days. E-3 and TN cases can often be resolved in weeks through consular processing or at a port of entry. Factor in DOL's LCA certification window, which typically takes seven to ten business days, before any petition can be filed.
