Target technical and engineering roles first
WSP's sponsorship activity is concentrated in engineering, environmental science, and planning disciplines. These roles align most naturally with specialty occupation requirements, making them your strongest entry point if you need H-1B or E-3 sponsorship.
Australian applicants should highlight E-3 eligibility
WSP sponsors the E-3 visa, which is exclusive to Australian citizens. If you're Australian and qualified in engineering or consulting, mentioning your E-3 eligibility upfront can reduce the employer's perceived sponsorship burden significantly.
Use Migrate Mate to confirm sponsorship before applying
Not every WSP job posting will mention visa sponsorship explicitly. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you focus your applications on roles where sponsorship is genuinely on the table.

Find WSP JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does WSP sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, WSP sponsors H-1B visas and is one of the more active sponsors in the consulting and professional services sector. Sponsorship is most common for engineering, environmental, and technical roles that meet specialty occupation requirements. If you're targeting WSP, focusing your application on roles with a clear degree-to-job-title match gives you the best chance of being considered for sponsorship.
Which visa types does WSP sponsor?
WSP sponsors a broad range of visa types including H-1B, E-3, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, EB-2, and EB-3. This makes WSP a viable option whether you're a student on OPT, an Australian citizen eligible for the E-3, a Canadian or Mexican national pursuing TN status, or an experienced professional seeking a Green Card pathway.
Which departments or roles at WSP are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at WSP is most concentrated in technical disciplines, including civil, structural, and environmental engineering, urban planning, transportation, and sustainability consulting. These roles consistently meet the specialty occupation standard required for H-1B and E-3 sponsorship. Generalist or administrative roles are less likely to qualify, so aligning your application to WSP's core technical service lines improves your odds.
How do I find visa-sponsored jobs at WSP on Migrate Mate?
Migrate Mate tracks verified sponsorship history by employer, so you can search WSP directly and browse open roles where sponsorship has been documented. This removes the guesswork of applying to postings that don't mention visa support. Filter by visa type to narrow results to categories you're eligible for, such as H-1B, E-3, or OPT.
How do I approach the application process at WSP as a visa sponsorship candidate?
Apply directly to roles that match your technical background and be transparent about your visa status in the application or early screening stage. WSP's HR and talent teams at a firm of this scale are generally familiar with sponsorship processes. Having your documents in order, including degree equivalency records if you studied outside the U.S., and being ready to discuss your visa category helps the process move efficiently once you receive interest.
