Align Your Background With WSP's Service Lines
WSP's Partnerships Manager roles typically support infrastructure, environmental, or advisory consulting divisions. Tailor your resume to highlight client-facing experience within those sectors, not just general business development, so hiring managers connect your profile to an active service line.
Confirm Sponsorship Early in Conversations
WSP sponsors multiple visa categories for this role, but sponsorship decisions are made at the business unit level. Ask the recruiter which entity is hiring and whether that office has a current sponsorship budget before investing time in multi-round interviews.
Gather Client-Facing Evidence Before Applying
WSP evaluates Partnerships Managers on demonstrable revenue impact and named account relationships. Prepare a concise portfolio of deals closed or partnerships launched before interviews, since sponsorship approvals for business development roles often require showing specialized value beyond a generalist profile.
Understand How Your Visa Category Affects Start Timing
H-1B transfers and E-3 applications move on different timelines. An H-1B transfer via portability can allow you to start within days of USCIS receipt, while an E-3 requires consular processing if you're outside the U.S., typically adding four to eight weeks before your start date.
Use Migrate Mate to Target Verified WSP Openings
Not every WSP Partnerships Manager listing on general job boards is current or sponsorship-confirmed. Use Migrate Mate to filter verified openings at WSP by visa type so you're applying only to roles where sponsorship for your specific status is already in scope.
Request the LCA Details Once You Have an Offer
Before countersigning an offer, ask WSP's immigration team to share the Labor Condition Application wage level and prevailing wage determination for your metro. DOL requires employers to post the LCA, and reviewing it confirms your offered salary meets the certified threshold before your I-129 is filed.

Find Partnerships Manager at WSP JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does WSP sponsor H-1B visas for Partnerships Managers?
Yes, WSP sponsors H-1B visas for Partnerships Manager roles. Because this is a business development position rather than a purely technical one, WSP's immigration counsel will document the specialty occupation basis carefully, typically grounding it in the strategic consulting nature of the role and the degree requirement. If you're on an existing H-1B, WSP can file a transfer petition, and portability rules under AC21 generally allow you to start before USCIS issues an approval notice.
How do I apply for Partnerships Manager jobs at WSP?
Apply directly through WSP's careers portal or use Migrate Mate to browse current Partnerships Manager openings at WSP filtered by your visa type. WSP's hiring process for this role typically involves a recruiter screen, a panel interview with business development leadership, and a final conversation with a regional director. Having sponsorship discussions with the recruiter in the first call avoids late-stage surprises, since individual business units control sponsorship budgets.
Which visa types does WSP commonly use for Partnerships Manager roles?
WSP sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and employment-based Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for this function. Australian citizens are strong candidates for the E-3 given its streamlined consular process and no lottery requirement. Canadian and Mexican professionals in qualifying occupations may be eligible for TN status. F-1 OPT holders in their initial or STEM extension period are also considered where the role falls within an eligible field.
What qualifications does WSP expect for a sponsored Partnerships Manager?
WSP typically looks for a bachelor's degree in business, engineering, environmental science, or a related field, along with several years of partnerships or business development experience in consulting, infrastructure, or a related professional services environment. For sponsored candidates, the degree and experience must directly support the specialty occupation basis of the visa petition. Candidates who can show measurable outcomes, such as named accounts grown or strategic alliances formed, are better positioned for both the role and the sponsorship approval.
How long does the sponsorship process typically take for this role at WSP?
Timeline depends on your visa category. An E-3 via consular processing in Australia generally takes four to eight weeks from LCA certification to visa issuance. An H-1B cap-exempt transfer can move within two to four weeks of USCIS receiving the petition, with portability often allowing an earlier start. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship for EB-2 or EB-3 takes considerably longer, often over a year from PERM filing to I-140 approval, and is typically initiated after you've established tenure at WSP.
