Frame your credentials around PMP or equivalent
WSP's Project Manager roles in consulting and professional services consistently favor candidates with formal project management credentials. A PMP certification or equivalent signals readiness for client-facing delivery work and strengthens your visa petition's specialty occupation argument.
Target WSP's infrastructure and environmental divisions
WSP staffs Project Managers heavily across transportation, water, and environmental consulting lines. Filtering your applications to these divisions improves your chances, since those teams run large multi-year programs that justify long-term sponsorship commitments from hiring managers.
Clarify your visa category before the offer stage
WSP sponsors several visa types for this role, including H-1B, E-3, and TN. Knowing which category fits your situation before negotiations start lets you guide the conversation productively rather than waiting for HR to determine your path after an offer is extended.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open Project Manager roles
WSP posts Project Manager openings across multiple U.S. regions simultaneously, making it easy to miss relevant positions. Use Migrate Mate to filter WSP listings by visa type so you're only reviewing roles the company actively sponsors for your specific work authorization category.
Align your resume to the LCA's job description requirements
Before WSP can file your H-1B or E-3 petition, the employer must certify a Labor Condition Application with the DOL. The LCA ties your role to a specific job title and wage level, so your resume and experience should map directly to the posted position's scope and responsibilities.
Account for PERM timelines if targeting Green Card sponsorship
If your goal is permanent residence through EB-2 or EB-3, WSP must complete a PERM labor certification before filing your immigrant petition. That process runs independently of your nonimmigrant status and can take a year or more, so raise it early in your employment conversations.

Find Project Manager at WSP JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does WSP sponsor H-1B visas for Project Managers?
Yes, WSP sponsors H-1B visas for Project Manager roles. Because WSP is a large consulting and engineering firm, it qualifies as an H-1B cap-exempt employer for certain placements, but most candidates go through the standard USCIS cap process. Project Manager positions at WSP generally meet the specialty occupation threshold required for H-1B approval, particularly in technical consulting disciplines.
How do I apply for Project Manager jobs at WSP?
Applications go through WSP's careers portal, where you can filter by location, business line, and job function. Before applying, confirm the posting aligns with your visa category, since WSP sponsors different visa types depending on the role's scope and the candidate's background. Migrate Mate lets you browse WSP's open Project Manager roles filtered by sponsorship type so you can focus on positions that match your work authorization.
Which visa types does WSP sponsor for Project Manager roles?
WSP sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, and F-1 OPT and CPT for Project Manager positions, as well as immigrant visa pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for longer-term hires. E-3 is available to Australian citizens only, and TN applies to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. The right visa depends on your nationality, degree, and the specific role's requirements.
What qualifications does WSP expect for Project Manager roles?
WSP typically looks for a bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, urban planning, or a related technical field, combined with demonstrated project delivery experience in a consulting or infrastructure context. A PMP certification strengthens your candidacy and supports the specialty occupation determination required for H-1B and E-3 petitions. Senior-level roles may require a master's degree or extensive program management experience across multi-disciplinary teams.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take at WSP for this role?
For H-1B, the standard USCIS processing window runs several months, with premium processing available to reduce that to around 15 business days. E-3 and TN sponsorships can move faster since they don't require USCIS approval before consular processing. WSP's internal HR and legal teams handle the petition preparation, but you should expect at least four to six weeks from offer acceptance to petition filing under normal conditions.
