Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Program Assistant Jobs at WSP Jobs
Align your credentials to WSP's project sectors
WSP's Program Assistant roles support active project delivery in infrastructure, transportation, and environmental consulting. Tailor your resume to reflect coordination or administrative experience in these verticals specifically, not general office support, before you apply.
Target WSP offices with active project pipelines
WSP's larger offices tied to federal or state infrastructure contracts tend to generate more Program Assistant openings. Offices in New York, Houston, and Denver have historically posted consistently, so concentrate your search on locations with visible project activity.
Clarify your visa type early in recruiter conversations
WSP sponsors multiple visa categories, including H-1B, E-3, and TN. Name your specific visa type in your first recruiter conversation so they can route your candidacy to the right internal immigration team rather than treating it as a general inquiry.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Program Assistant openings by sponsorship type
Not every WSP listing explicitly flags visa sponsorship. Search WSP's Program Assistant postings on Migrate Mate to filter by the visa category you need, so you're only pursuing roles where sponsorship has already been confirmed.
Confirm LCA prevailing wage compliance before accepting an offer
For H-1B and E-3 filings, WSP must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL certifying your offered salary meets prevailing wage for Program Assistants in that metro area. Review the LCA posting notice once your offer is in writing.

Find Program Assistant at WSP JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does WSP sponsor H-1B visas for Program Assistants?
Yes, WSP sponsors H-1B visas for Program Assistant roles. Because the H-1B is cap-subject, your offer timing relative to the USCIS lottery window matters. WSP's internal immigration team typically coordinates with outside counsel to handle the I-129 petition, but you'll need your offer formalized well before the April 1 filing deadline to be included in the annual lottery.
How do I apply for Program Assistant jobs at WSP?
You can apply directly through WSP's careers portal or browse open Program Assistant roles with confirmed visa sponsorship on Migrate Mate. When applying, specify your visa status upfront in your cover letter or application notes. WSP's recruiting process for these roles typically involves an initial screen, a hiring manager interview, and a final panel review before an offer is extended.
Which visa types does WSP commonly use for Program Assistant roles?
WSP sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, and F-1 OPT/CPT for Program Assistant positions, as well as Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for longer-term employees. E-3 applies only to Australian citizens, and TN covers Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. The right visa depends on your nationality, degree, and how the role is classified internally.
What qualifications does WSP expect for Program Assistant roles?
WSP's Program Assistant positions typically require a bachelor's degree in a field relevant to the supporting practice area, such as engineering, environmental science, urban planning, or business administration. Practical experience with project tracking, document control, or client coordination is valued. For specialty occupation visa filings, the degree-to-role match is a formal USCIS requirement, not just a hiring preference.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take once WSP extends an offer?
Timeline depends on the visa type. E-3 and TN filings can move quickly, often within a few weeks, since neither is cap-subject. H-1B sponsorship is tied to the annual lottery and can take six months or more from offer to start date. USCIS premium processing is available for H-1B petitions and reduces the adjudication window to 15 business days after filing.
