Align Your Degree to Staffing Operations
Program Assistant roles at a staffing firm like Jobot often require a business, HR, or communications degree to qualify as a specialty occupation for H-1B purposes. Verify your transcripts clearly reflect coursework relevant to workforce coordination or organizational management before applying.
Target Jobot's High-Volume Hiring Cycles
Jobot posts Program Assistant openings at high volume, so search by role title and filter for locations where Jobot has active recruiting operations. Applying during Q1 aligns your offer timeline with the H-1B cap registration window, giving your employer the best filing runway.
Confirm OPT Authorization Covers Your Start Date
If you're on F-1 OPT, cross-reference your EAD expiration date against Jobot's typical offer-to-start timeline. Staffing firms move quickly on hiring, and a gap between your OPT end date and a potential STEM extension or H-1B filing can create unauthorized work issues.
Ask Directly About the LCA Filing Process
Jobot handles sponsorship in-house for some roles and through external counsel for others. During the offer stage, ask which entity files the Labor Condition Application with DOL and what prevailing wage level the Program Assistant role is benchmarked to, so there are no surprises post-offer.
Use Migrate Mate to Identify Jobot's Active Openings
Search Migrate Mate to surface Program Assistant roles at Jobot that are open to visa sponsorship. Filtering by visa type lets you prioritize listings that match your current status, so you're not spending time on roles the company won't sponsor.
Prepare a TN Documentation Package in Advance
Canadian and Mexican nationals applying for Program Assistant roles at Jobot can enter on TN status if the position qualifies under an eligible USMCA category. Have your offer letter, credential documents, and employer support letter ready before your port of entry appointment, since TN adjudication happens on the spot.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Jobot sponsor H-1B visas for Program Assistants?
Yes, Jobot has sponsored H-1B visas for Program Assistant roles. The role needs to qualify as a specialty occupation, which generally requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field like business administration, HR, or communications. Sponsorship decisions are made case by case, so confirming eligibility directly with the recruiter during early conversations is the most reliable approach.
How do I apply for Program Assistant jobs at Jobot?
You can browse and apply for Program Assistant positions at Jobot directly through Migrate Mate, which surfaces Jobot's active openings and filters by visa sponsorship type. When you apply, flag your work authorization status clearly in your application. Jobot's recruiting process moves quickly, so having your resume tailored to staffing and program coordination workflows helps you move faster through their pipeline.
Which visa types does Jobot commonly use for Program Assistant roles?
Jobot has sponsored H-1B visas and supported F-1 OPT candidates for Program Assistant roles. TN status is also a practical option for Canadian and Mexican nationals if the position maps to an eligible USMCA occupational category. Green Card sponsorship for Program Assistants is less common at staffing firms and generally depends on tenure and internal advocacy.
What qualifications does Jobot expect for Program Assistant roles?
Jobot typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in a business-related field and experience in coordination, administrative support, or client-facing roles. Because Jobot is a staffing firm, familiarity with recruiting workflows, applicant tracking systems, or HR operations is a meaningful differentiator. For visa purposes, your degree field needs to align with the specific duties of the Program Assistant role to support an H-1B petition.
How do I time my application around the H-1B filing calendar?
USCIS opens H-1B cap registration in March each year, with the fiscal year starting October 1. To meet that window, you need a signed offer and a filed petition well before the registration deadline. Targeting Jobot openings in January or February gives you enough lead time for offer negotiations, Labor Condition Application filing with DOL, and USCIS petition preparation before the lottery registration period opens.
