Job Details
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of each department including but not limited to service, sales, commercial, gas, installation, call taking, dispatching, billing and day-to-day activity.
- Prepare/review all GM reporting including activity trackers and forecasting and take appropriate action.
- Analyze determinates of profitability and take appropriate actions to adjust.
- Establish with the President/Owner a dynamic business plan with detailed annual objectives including but not limited to growth, revenue, bottom line, market share.
- Consistently monitor financial performance and adjust operational expenses in accordance with the plan.
- Consistently monitor and manage all procurement to control costs while adhering to the highest standard of quality.
- Consistently monitor and adjust the efficiency of business relationships and procedures to meet objectives.
- Primary responsibility for residential, commercial and industrial plumbing estimates.
- Work closely and regularly meet with the President/Owner to review performance in accordance with the plan, make suggestions and implement corrections as may become necessary.
- Top to bottom P&L responsibility – from project level to bottom line.
- Overseeing daily business operations.
- Developing and implementing growth strategies.
- Training low-level managers and staff.
- Creating and managing budgets.
- Improving revenue.
- Evaluating performance and productivity.
- Analyzing accounting and financial data.
- Researching and identifying growth opportunities.
Work Hours
This is an exempt position. Hours to be determined based on the needs of the business.
Competencies
This position requires strong time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Must be able to keep composure under pressure in a fast-paced environment, while meeting deadlines. Position requires excellent leadership skills in order to enhance team productivity and work-related standards. Must maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service orientated focus. This position requires the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written communication skills, in addition to well-developed conflict resolution skills.
Education and Experience
- Valid driver’s license and insurable under our company insurance policy.
- This position requires 5-7 years prior experience in the HVAC industry.
- Prior supervisory experience with the ability to effectively coach, counsel and train employees.
- Position requires in-depth knowledge and understanding of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Must have the ability to read, interpret, utilize and train on manuals, schematics and control circuits related to HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Exhibits working knowledge of local codes.
- Requires a high school diploma and/or any equivalent of education and experience to meet the essential functions of the job.
Work Environment
In Office - Standard office environment.
Physical Demands
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 20 pounds at a time.
Supervisory Responsibility
Oversees and supervises all employees.
Travel
Regular travel can be expected between Sunnyvale and Fort Worth locations as necessary. Travel to be expected primarily during normal business hours, however, may be required to respond to emergency calls as business demands.
