SALARY
Salary: $98,000 - $120,000 per year
About us
Founded more than four decades ago and based in Essex Junction, Vermont, we are an FAA-, EASA-, and UK CAA-approved Part 145 component overhaul and repair station serving regional jet and commercial aircraft operators around the world. We overhaul and repair components across environmental control, electrical power, pneumatic, fuel, and hydraulic systems, and we've built our reputation on fast turn times, engineered repair and replacement parts programs that meaningfully lower our customers' maintenance costs, and workmanship our customers don't have to second-guess. Every technician who joins us completes full OEM factory familiarization training on the components we service, and continuing education is a standing expectation, not a perk. We're a tight, technically deep team, and we understand that behind every unit on our bench is an aircraft that needs to get back in the air safely.
WHY JOIN US?
- Competitive Compensation: Up to $117,000 base salary (DOE) + bonus potential
- 401(k) with Company Match Up to 6%
- Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Disability Insurance
- Paid Vacation & Sick Time
- Ownership From Day One: Own the quality function end-to-end — QMS, audits, certifications, and the inspection team — rather than administering someone else's system
- Technical Depth: Work in an FAA/EASA/UK CAA-approved Part 145 environment with engineered parts and repair development happening in-house
- Stability: An established repair station with 30+ years of continuous FAA-authorized U.S. operations

- Train team members across the facility on quality standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Support facility safety and compliance programs

Tailor your resume to client-facing standards
Jobot recruits Quality Engineers for end clients, not just internal roles. Highlight specific methodologies like Six Sigma, ISO 9001, or AS9100 so recruiters can match you to client specs quickly. Generic resumes slow the placement process.
Clarify your visa status on first contact
Jobot screens candidates for client fit before discussing sponsorship. State your current status and authorization timeline upfront so your recruiter knows whether an OPT placement, TN arrangement, or H-1B petition is the right path for you.
Align your OPT start date with client timelines
Staffing placements often have fast turnarounds. If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your STEM extension eligibility and work authorization start date before interviews begin. Gaps between client need dates and your available start date can cost you the placement.
Confirm which entity files your H-1B petition
Because Jobot operates as the employer of record for staffing arrangements, your H-1B petition is filed by Jobot, not the end client. Confirm this structure with your recruiter and verify the worksite address aligns with the Labor Condition Application DOL approves.
Use Migrate Mate to identify active Quality Engineer openings
Jobot posts Quality Engineer roles across multiple industries simultaneously. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Jobot openings that include visa sponsorship, so you apply to live roles where sponsorship is already confirmed rather than guessing from a general job listing.
Prepare documentation before the offer stage
Staffing firms move quickly once a client selects a candidate. Have your degree transcripts, any professional certifications like CQE or CQA, and your current visa documents ready before you receive a formal offer to avoid delays in USCIS petition preparation.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Jobot sponsor H-1B visas for Quality Engineers?
Yes, Jobot has sponsored H-1B visas for Quality Engineers. Because Jobot functions as the employer of record in staffing arrangements, it files the H-1B petition directly rather than the end client. Sponsorship availability depends on the specific role and client engagement, so confirm sponsorship support with your recruiter early in the process before advancing to interviews.
Which visa types are commonly used for Quality Engineer roles at Jobot?
Jobot has worked with H-1B, F-1 OPT, and TN visa holders for Quality Engineer placements. F-1 OPT is common for recent graduates with engineering or applied science degrees. TN visas apply to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering roles. H-1B is the primary route for longer-term sponsorship once a client engagement is confirmed and stable.
What qualifications or experience are expected for Quality Engineer roles at Jobot?
Most Quality Engineer openings Jobot fills require a bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering alongside hands-on experience with quality systems such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or AS9100. Familiarity with inspection tools, PPAP documentation, and root cause analysis methods like 8D or FMEA strengthens your candidacy. Certifications from ASQ, such as CQE, are a plus for senior-level placements.
How do I apply for Quality Engineer jobs at Jobot?
Browse active Quality Engineer openings at Jobot through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship availability so you only see roles where sponsorship is confirmed. When you apply, include your visa status and authorization timeline in your initial outreach. Jobot recruiters typically respond quickly and will walk you through whether the role suits your immigration situation before scheduling client interviews.
How do I time my application around H-1B filing deadlines?
USCIS opens H-1B registration in early March each year for the following fiscal year starting October 1. If you're targeting an H-1B through Jobot, you'll need an offer confirmed before registration opens in March. If you miss the lottery, discuss cap-exempt options or OPT bridge strategies with your recruiter so you're not left without work authorization mid-placement.
