Align your credentials to WSP's project portfolio
WSP VP roles typically require demonstrated leadership on large-scale infrastructure, environmental, or advisory engagements. Before applying, map your project experience to WSP's active service lines so your resume reflects the specific technical depth they evaluate at the VP level.
Target WSP's sector-specific VP openings strategically
WSP hires VPs within defined practice areas like transportation, water, or sustainability consulting. Applying to a role that matches your technical discipline increases the likelihood that your petition supports a clear specialty occupation determination under USCIS standards.
Request clarity on LCA prevailing wage before accepting
VP-level compensation at consulting firms varies significantly by geography and business unit. Ask your recruiter which DOL wage level applies to your role so you can verify the offered salary meets prevailing wage requirements before the Labor Condition Application is filed.
Prepare a strong organizational chart for your petition
USCIS scrutinizes VP-level H-1B petitions to confirm the role genuinely requires a specialty occupation degree. A clear org chart showing the technical complexity of your team and reporting structure strengthens the petition and helps WSP's legal team build the evidence file.
Factor PERM timelines into your career transition plan
If WSP initiates Green Card sponsorship through the EB-2 or EB-3 PERM process, the DOL audit timeline can extend your overall wait significantly. Build at least 18 to 24 months of buffer into your planning so visa transitions don't create gaps in your authorization.
Use Migrate Mate to identify open VP roles at WSP
VP positions at WSP are posted across multiple business units and aren't always labeled consistently. Use Migrate Mate to filter WSP's open Vice President roles by visa sponsorship type so you're applying to positions where sponsorship is already confirmed, not assumed.

Find Vice President at WSP JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does WSP sponsor H-1B visas for Vice Presidents?
Yes, WSP sponsors H-1B visas for Vice President roles. At the VP level, petitions typically include detailed documentation showing the role requires a directly related bachelor's degree or higher, which is the specialty occupation standard USCIS applies. WSP works with experienced immigration counsel to support senior-level filings across its consulting and professional services practices.
Which visa types does WSP commonly use for Vice President roles?
WSP sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, and F-1 OPT visas for Vice President positions, depending on your nationality and career stage. For longer-term pathways, WSP also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship. Australian citizens often pursue the E-3 route given its cap-exempt structure and straightforward renewal process at the VP level.
What qualifications does WSP expect for Vice President roles?
WSP VP roles in consulting and professional services generally require an advanced degree in engineering, environmental science, planning, or a related technical discipline, combined with substantial years of progressively senior experience. Many openings also expect demonstrated business development experience, P&L accountability, or client relationship management within large-scale infrastructure or advisory projects.
How do I apply for Vice President jobs at WSP?
You can browse Vice President openings at WSP filtered by visa sponsorship type on Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles where sponsorship is confirmed. When applying, tailor your materials to WSP's specific practice area for that VP opening. The hiring process typically includes multiple rounds with technical leadership and senior stakeholders before an offer is extended.
How do I plan my timeline if WSP is sponsoring my visa for a VP role?
Timeline planning depends on which visa applies to you. H-1B transfers from another sponsor are generally faster than new cap-subject filings, which are tied to the annual April lottery. E-3 and TN visas can move quickly once the Labor Condition Application is certified by DOL. If Green Card sponsorship is part of your conversation with WSP, initiate that discussion early since PERM recruitment and DOL review add significant lead time.
