Partner with Clients & Project Teams
- Serve as a trusted day-to-day contact for client stakeholders within your assigned workstream, building strong working relationships and supporting on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Prepare clear status updates, requirements documentation, and design artifacts; escalate issues or risks to CrossCountry project managers as appropriate.
- Participate in client workshops, team meetings, and knowledge-sharing sessions, contributing strong written and verbal communication throughout.
Drive Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Perform data analysis, import/export formatting, test script development, and documentation to support client deliverables and system integrity.
- Identify reusable design patterns and proactively recommend configurations or process changes; contribute to internal templates and knowledge resources.

Align your credentials with CPA firm expectations
CrossCountry serves clients in audit, advisory, and financial reporting. Before applying, confirm your academic background maps to accounting or business, USCIS scrutinizes specialty occupation claims most closely when the degree field is tangential to the role.
Target CrossCountry's industry verticals when applying
CrossCountry organizes its consulting practice around specific industries including financial services, government contracting, and healthcare. Framing your Business Manager experience within one of these verticals makes your application more relevant than a generalist pitch.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Business Manager roles
CrossCountry posts Business Manager positions across multiple locations and practice areas. Use Migrate Mate to filter for roles that align with your visa type so you're only applying where sponsorship is a realistic outcome from the start.
Clarify your visa status early in outreach
For E-3 and TN candidates, the filing process is faster and lower-cost for the employer than H-1B. Mentioning your visa category upfront in conversations with recruiting removes ambiguity and often accelerates the sponsorship conversation inside the firm.
Understand how PERM affects your offer timeline
If you're targeting an EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card path through CrossCountry, the PERM labor certification requires DOL to test the labor market before your petition advances. That process runs parallel to your employment, not before your start date.
Prepare a client-ready portfolio before final interviews
CrossCountry evaluates Business Manager candidates on their ability to manage client relationships and deliverables. Bringing documented examples of engagement oversight, team coordination, or audit project management strengthens both your candidacy and the employer's specialty occupation case to USCIS.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does CrossCountry Consulting sponsor H-1B visas for Business Managers?
Yes, CrossCountry Consulting does sponsor H-1B visas for Business Manager roles. Because the H-1B requires demonstrating that the position qualifies as a specialty occupation, your application is strongest when your degree is in a directly related field like accounting, finance, or business administration. CrossCountry's consulting structure supports this framing, but the credential match matters.
How do I apply for Business Manager jobs at CrossCountry Consulting?
You can browse open Business Manager positions at CrossCountry Consulting through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship eligibility. CrossCountry typically recruits for these roles across several U.S. markets and practice areas. Tailoring your application to a specific industry vertical the firm serves, such as financial services or government contracting, will improve your chances of moving forward.
Which visa types does CrossCountry Consulting commonly use for Business Manager roles?
CrossCountry has sponsored Business Managers on H-1B, E-3 visa, TN visa, F-1 OPT, and has supported EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa pathways. Australian citizens are eligible for the E-3 visa, which has no annual lottery and generally moves faster than H-1B. Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management roles may qualify under TN visa status, which can be a faster path to starting work.
What qualifications does CrossCountry Consulting expect for Business Manager candidates?
CrossCountry looks for Business Managers with a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, combined with demonstrated experience leading client engagements or project teams in a professional services environment. Familiarity with financial reporting, audit processes, or advisory project management is especially relevant given the firm's accounting and auditing client base. Relevant certifications like CPA or PMP strengthen your profile.
How do I plan my timeline if CrossCountry Consulting offers to sponsor my H-1B?
The H-1B cap lottery runs once per year, with registrations typically open in March and an October 1 start date if selected. If you're not already in H-1B status, factor in at least six months between a job offer and your earliest possible start date. CrossCountry can file for premium processing to get a USCIS decision within a few weeks once selected, which reduces uncertainty after the lottery.
