Frame your CPA or CFA credentials upfront
CrossCountry's Finance Director roles sit at the intersection of advisory and accounting. Credentialing your CPA or CFA early in your application signals you meet the specialty occupation threshold USCIS scrutinizes in professional services firms.
Target CrossCountry's active industry verticals
CrossCountry staffs Finance Directors across government, private equity, and healthcare clients. Aligning your resume to one of those verticals, rather than presenting as a generalist, sharpens your candidacy and reduces time-to-offer at the director level.
Browse open Finance Director roles on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter CrossCountry Consulting's Finance Director openings by visa type, so you can identify which postings align with your current status before investing time in the application process.
Clarify your visa timeline before final interviews
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your OPT expiration date before offer negotiations. CrossCountry needs enough runway to file an H-1B cap-subject petition before your work authorization lapses, since the cap registration window opens only once each spring.
Understand the LCA requirement in your offer letter
Before your H-1B or E-3 petition is filed, CrossCountry's HR team must certify a Labor Condition Application with DOL confirming the prevailing wage for a Finance Director in your work location. Delays here push back your start date, so follow up proactively.

Find Finance Director at CrossCountry Consulting JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does CrossCountry Consulting sponsor H-1B visas for Finance Directors?
Yes, CrossCountry Consulting sponsors H-1B visas for Finance Director roles. Because Finance Directors in accounting and advisory services typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in a specialized field, the role generally qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards. Sponsorship is most straightforward when your background clearly aligns with the client-facing finance function CrossCountry delivers.
Which visa types are commonly used for Finance Director roles at CrossCountry Consulting?
CrossCountry Consulting sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, F-1 OPT, and employment-based Green Card categories including EB-2 and EB-3 for Finance Director positions. Australian citizens frequently pursue the E-3 as a faster, lottery-free alternative to the H-1B. Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying finance occupations may be eligible under TN status, which requires no petition with USCIS.
How do I apply for Finance Director jobs at CrossCountry Consulting?
You can find and apply for Finance Director openings at CrossCountry Consulting through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm eligibility before applying. CrossCountry's Finance Director hiring process typically includes a recruiter screen, technical finance and case interviews, and a final leadership panel. Tailoring your experience to the firm's accounting and advisory service lines improves your odds significantly.
What qualifications and experience does CrossCountry Consulting expect for Finance Director candidates?
CrossCountry typically expects Finance Director candidates to have at least ten years of progressive finance experience, with a strong preference for public accounting, management consulting, or client-facing advisory backgrounds. A CPA designation is a meaningful differentiator. Experience managing teams and delivering financial reporting or transformation projects for enterprise clients directly reflects the work CrossCountry does for its customers.
How do I plan my timeline if CrossCountry Consulting is sponsoring my visa for a Finance Director role?
If you need H-1B sponsorship, build in at least six to eight months from offer acceptance to employment start, accounting for the DOL's Labor Condition Application certification, USCIS petition filing, and potential premium processing. For E-3 applicants, consular processing in Australia runs roughly two to four weeks after scheduling. PERM-based Green Card paths typically add 12 to 18 months before an I-140 petition can be filed.
