Align your credentials to U.S. regulatory standards
JPMorganChase Finance Directors operate under SEC, OCC, and Federal Reserve oversight. CPA licensure or CFA charterholder status signals regulatory fluency that hiring managers at a bank holding company expect before sponsorship conversations begin.
Target lines of business with active LCA filings
JPMorganChase's sponsorship activity for finance roles is concentrated in specific business lines. Search DOL's OFLC disclosure data for certified LCAs tied to Finance Director job titles to identify which divisions are actively filing and build your applications around them.
Understand how E-3 and H-1B1 differ from H-1B
If you're an Australian or Singaporean national, JPMorganChase sponsors the E-3 and H-1B1 respectively. These sit outside the H-1B lottery, so you can start without waiting for an April registration cycle. Confirm your eligibility before your first recruiter call.
Surface open Finance Director roles through Migrate Mate
JPMorganChase posts Finance Director openings across multiple business units simultaneously, and they disappear quickly. Use Migrate Mate to filter for Finance Director roles at JPMorganChase that are open to visa sponsorship so you're applying to the right postings from the start.
Prepare for PERM labor market test requirements early
If your goal is a Green Card through EB-2 or EB-3, your employer initiates the PERM process with DOL. At the Finance Director level, expect the recruitment period and audit risk to be higher because the role commands a premium prevailing wage, which extends DOL review timelines.
Negotiate I-129 premium processing into your offer
USCIS premium processing guarantees a 15-business-day adjudication window for H-1B petitions. For a Finance Director offer with a defined start date tied to a fiscal quarter, getting this included in writing before you sign prevents costly delays if your petition lands in a backlogged service center.

Find Finance Director at JPMorganChase JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does JPMorganChase sponsor H-1B visas for Finance Directors?
Yes. JPMorganChase sponsors H-1B visas for Finance Directors and has done so across multiple business units including investment banking, commercial banking, and corporate finance. The firm also sponsors the H-1B1 for Singaporean nationals and the E-3 for Australian nationals, which bypass the H-1B lottery entirely and allow year-round applications.
How do I apply for Finance Director jobs at JPMorganChase?
Apply directly through JPMorganChase's careers portal. Finance Director roles are posted by line of business rather than centrally, so you'll need to search across Corporate, Commercial Banking, and Asset and Wealth Management separately. Migrate Mate aggregates open Finance Director postings at JPMorganChase that are open to visa sponsorship, which cuts down on manual searching across divisions.
Which visa types does JPMorganChase commonly use for Finance Director roles?
JPMorganChase sponsors the H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, and employment-based Green Cards (EB-2 and EB-3) for Finance Directors. H-1B is the most broadly available path. H-1B1 and E-3 are faster for eligible nationals since there's no lottery. EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship is typically initiated after the candidate has been in role for a period.
What qualifications does JPMorganChase expect for a sponsored Finance Director?
Expect a requirement of a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics, with a CPA or CFA credential viewed as close to mandatory at the director level. Most postings specify ten or more years of progressive finance experience, including direct exposure to financial reporting, FP&A, or treasury at a regulated financial institution. Prior experience within a bank holding company or financial services firm significantly strengthens your candidacy.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Finance Director offer at JPMorganChase?
For H-1B, if you're subject to the lottery, the process runs from March registration through an October 1 start date at the earliest. With premium processing, USCIS adjudicates the I-129 petition within 15 business days of receipt. H-1B1 and E-3 petitions avoid the lottery and can be approved in weeks. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship typically begins 12 to 24 months after your start date and takes additional years depending on your country of birth.
