Align your credentials to Arcadis delivery frameworks
Arcadis evaluates Program Development Managers on their ability to lead multi-stakeholder infrastructure programs, not just project coordination. A PMP or equivalent paired with documented program-level scope, not just project-level, is what gets your application past the first screen.
Target Arcadis openings tied to specific sectors
Arcadis staffs Program Development Managers across water, transportation, and urban development practices. Identifying which sector your experience maps to and applying to roles within that practice group significantly increases your relevance to hiring managers and strengthens the specialty occupation case for your visa petition.
Understand how Arcadis structures H-1B sponsorship
Arcadis typically initiates sponsorship after an offer is extended, not during interviews. Before your final round, ask HR directly whether the role is approved for sponsorship and which visa categories they support, so you are not surprised late in the process.
Time your application around the H-1B cap cycle
If you need a new H-1B cap number, USCIS registration opens in March for an October 1 start date. Targeting Arcadis roles in the preceding December through February window gives the hiring team enough runway to file before the registration deadline.
Document program-level complexity for your LCA
The DOL Labor Condition Application requires Arcadis to certify that your role meets prevailing wage for a specific specialty occupation. Make sure your resume and offer letter clearly describe program budget authority, cross-functional team leadership, and client-facing deliverables, not just task management, to support that classification.
Use Migrate Mate to find open roles efficiently
Program Development Manager openings at Arcadis are spread across multiple practice areas and geographies. Use Migrate Mate to filter Arcadis jobs by visa sponsorship eligibility so you are only applying to roles where international candidates are actively considered.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Arcadis sponsor H-1B visas for Program Development Managers?
Yes, Arcadis sponsors H-1B visas for Program Development Managers. The role qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards given its requirement for a bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, project management, or a related field. Sponsorship is typically confirmed at the offer stage, so clarify visa support with the recruiter before your final interview round.
Which visa types does Arcadis commonly use for Program Development Manager roles?
Arcadis uses several visa pathways for this role depending on your situation. H-1B is the most common for full-time hires. F-1 OPT and CPT are used for candidates already in the U.S. on student visas. TN visas are available for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management categories. For longer-term employees, Arcadis also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship.
What qualifications does Arcadis expect for Program Development Manager positions?
Arcadis typically looks for a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, urban planning, construction management, or a related field, along with demonstrated experience managing large, multi-phase infrastructure programs. PMP certification is frequently listed as preferred. Client-facing experience within consulting or professional services environments carries significant weight, as these roles involve direct engagement with government or institutional clients throughout the program lifecycle.
How do I apply for Program Development Manager jobs at Arcadis?
You can browse and apply for Program Development Manager openings at Arcadis through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship eligibility so you only see roles where international candidates are considered. When applying, tailor your resume to the specific practice area the role sits in, such as water, transportation, or environment. Arcadis recruiters move quickly on qualified candidates, so a targeted application outperforms a generic one.
How do I navigate the sponsorship timeline for a Program Development Manager offer at Arcadis?
Once Arcadis extends an offer, their immigration team or an outside counsel files the Labor Condition Application with the DOL before submitting your H-1B petition to USCIS. Standard processing takes three to six months, with premium processing available to reduce USCIS adjudication to around 15 business days. If you are switching from OPT or another status, confirm your current work authorization end date with HR early so they can plan the filing timeline accordingly.
