Frame your experience around CDW's client verticals
CDW serves healthcare, government, education, and enterprise clients on technology implementation and procurement. Tailor your resume to show consulting experience in at least one of these verticals. Generic strategy background won't stand out the way industry-specific IT consulting experience will.
Verify CDW's active LCA filings before applying
Search the DOL's LCA disclosure database for CDW to confirm recent certified filings for Management Consultant roles. Active LCA filings confirm the company is currently sponsoring H-1B workers in this function, not just theoretically open to it.
Target roles that specify solution delivery or client advisory work
CDW's Management Consultant postings that emphasize solution architecture, technology roadmaps, or vendor management tend to align most cleanly with H-1B specialty occupation requirements. A role requiring a specific technical or business degree field strengthens your petition's odds of approval.
Get your credential evaluation ready before your first interview
If you completed your degree outside the U.S., have a NACES-approved evaluation on hand before CDW's hiring process moves to the offer stage. Delays in credential documentation are one of the most common reasons H-1B filings get pushed to the next cap cycle.
Clarify sponsorship scope during the offer negotiation stage
Ask CDW's recruiter directly whether the offer includes H-1B filing, Green Card sponsorship through PERM, and premium processing. Knowing whether USCIS premium processing is covered affects how you plan your start date and any current status transition from OPT or CPT.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by visa type
CDW regularly posts Management Consultant openings, but not every role flags sponsorship eligibility upfront. Use Migrate Mate to filter CDW's active postings by the visa types you need, so you spend time only on roles that actually fit your situation.

Find Management Consultant at CDW JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does CDW sponsor H-1B visas for Management Consultants?
Yes, CDW sponsors H-1B visas for Management Consultant roles. The role needs to qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning it requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field like business, information systems, or a related discipline. CDW has a documented pattern of filing H-1B petitions for consulting functions, so it's a viable target if you're in the H-1B cap cycle or already on H-1B status seeking a transfer.
How do I apply for Management Consultant jobs at CDW?
Apply directly through CDW's careers portal, where postings specify the location, team, and client focus area for each Management Consultant opening. Before applying, confirm the role aligns with your visa category. Migrate Mate filters CDW's open roles by visa type, which saves time identifying which postings are realistically accessible given your current immigration status.
Which visa types does CDW commonly use for Management Consultant roles?
CDW sponsors H-1B visas most commonly for Management Consultant positions. The company also supports F-1 OPT and CPT for recent graduates, TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying business consultant categories, and employment-based Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for longer-tenured employees. The right category depends on your nationality, degree, and where you are in the immigration process.
What qualifications does CDW expect for Management Consultant roles?
CDW's Management Consultant roles typically require a bachelor's degree in business, information systems, computer science, or a closely related field. Practical experience with IT solution delivery, technology procurement, or enterprise client advisory work is prioritized. Candidates with exposure to CDW's core verticals, including healthcare IT, government technology contracts, or cloud infrastructure projects, tend to advance further in the hiring process.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship at CDW?
If you need a new H-1B cap filing, USCIS opens registration in early March for an October 1 start date. CDW would need to extend an offer and file your registration by late March. If you're transferring an existing H-1B, CDW can file a petition at any time and you can start once USCIS issues a receipt notice. OPT holders should track their authorization end date carefully and flag it with CDW's HR team early in the process.
