Frame your experience around CDW's verticals
CDW organizes its sales teams by customer segment, commercial, government, education, and healthcare. Tailor your resume to show experience selling into one of these verticals, not just generic B2B sales. Segment-specific context signals you understand the buyer.
Research LCA filings before your interview
CDW files Labor Condition Applications with DOL for each sponsored hire, which become public record. Reviewing past filings by job title and location gives you a realistic picture of prevailing wage levels for Sales roles before you negotiate.
Target account executive roles with defined quotas
CDW's sponsored Sales hires tend to cluster in quota-carrying roles tied to specific product lines or regions. Applying to roles with a defined book of business or territory improves your odds over open-ended or rotational sales positions.
Time your offer acceptance around H-1B cap deadlines
If you need H-1B sponsorship, USCIS opens registration each March for an October 1 start date. Accepting an offer late in a calendar year means a potential gap if your current status expires before the new fiscal year begins, plan accordingly.
Use Migrate Mate to filter CDW Sales openings by visa type
CDW posts Sales roles across multiple locations and segments simultaneously. Use Migrate Mate to filter those openings by the visa types CDW sponsors, so you're applying to positions where sponsorship is already confirmed rather than finding out mid-process.

Find Sales at CDW JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does CDW sponsor H-1B visas for Sales roles?
Yes, CDW sponsors H-1B visas for Sales positions, particularly in account management and enterprise sales roles. Sponsorship is handled through CDW's internal HR and legal teams. Because H-1B sponsorship requires a formal petition filed with USCIS, CDW typically initiates the process after a formal offer is extended and accepted.
How do I apply for Sales jobs at CDW?
You can apply directly through CDW's careers site or browse their Sales openings on Migrate Mate, which filters by visa sponsorship eligibility. When applying, clearly indicate your work authorization status on the application. CDW's Sales recruiting process typically includes a phone screen, a panel interview, and a role-play or case-based assessment focused on solution selling.
Which visa types does CDW commonly use for Sales hires?
CDW sponsors H-1B visas as the primary pathway for Sales professionals needing long-term work authorization. They also hire F-1 students on CPT and OPT, including the 24-month STEM OPT extension for eligible graduates. For Canadian and Mexican nationals, TN status is a faster alternative that CDW has also used for qualifying Sales roles. Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3 is available for longer-tenured employees.
What qualifications does CDW look for in sponsored Sales candidates?
CDW's Sales roles typically require a bachelor's degree, often in business, communications, or a technology-related field. Beyond credentials, CDW prioritizes candidates with demonstrable experience in B2B or solution sales, familiarity with technology products or managed services, and the ability to manage pipeline in a quota-driven environment. Industry certifications from Microsoft, Cisco, or AWS can strengthen an application for technical sales tracks.
How long does the sponsorship process take for a CDW Sales role?
Timeline depends on your visa type. OPT and CPT authorization allows you to start quickly once an offer is accepted. H-1B sponsorship follows USCIS's annual cap cycle, with a March registration window and an October 1 employment start date. USCIS premium processing can reduce the petition decision window to 15 business days for an additional fee, which CDW may use when timelines are tight.
