Our Approach to Flexible Work
With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.
Pursuant to applicable Fair Chance law, Workday will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
Workday is an Equal Opportunity Employer including individuals with disabilities and protected veterans.
At Workday, we are committed to providing an accessible and inclusive hiring experience where all candidates can fully demonstrate their skills. If you require assistance or an accommodation at any point, please email accommodations@workday.com.

Tailor your resume to enterprise SaaS sales
Workday's Sales roles center on complex, multi-stakeholder deals with HR and finance buyers. Quantify experience closing enterprise software cycles, managing executive relationships, or selling cloud platforms. Generic B2B sales framing won't stand out in their screening process.
Target roles aligned with your visa category
TN visa holders in Canada or Mexico should prioritize Workday's Account Executive and Solutions Consultant postings, since TN classification for sales professionals requires your role to qualify as a recognized USMCA profession. Filter by job function before applying.
Find open Sales roles on Migrate Mate
Browse Workday's current Sales openings filtered by visa sponsorship type on Migrate Mate. It surfaces which specific roles align with your visa category, saving you from applying to positions where sponsorship isn't available for your situation.
Clarify sponsorship intent before final interviews
Workday's recruiting process for Sales roles moves quickly once you reach the offer stage. Ask your recruiter directly whether the specific role and office location support H-1B transfer or new cap-subject petitions before you invest in final-round preparation.
Time H-1B transfers around your current status
If you're already on an H-1B with another employer, Workday can file a transfer petition and you can start working as soon as USCIS receives it, without waiting for approval. Don't wait until your current role ends to begin the process.
Document your specialty occupation case for Sales
USCIS scrutinizes H-1B petitions for Sales positions more than engineering roles. Work with Workday's immigration counsel to frame your role around specialized knowledge, such as technical solution consulting or vertical-specific enterprise sales, not general relationship management.

Find Sales at Workday JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Workday sponsor H-1B visas for Sales roles?
Yes, Workday sponsors H-1B visas for Sales positions, though the specific roles that qualify depend on how the job is classified with USCIS. Solution Consulting and technical Sales roles tend to have a stronger specialty occupation argument than general Account Executive positions. Confirm sponsorship availability for the specific role with your recruiter early in the process.
How do I apply for Sales jobs at Workday?
Applications go through Workday's careers portal directly. Before applying, review whether the posting notes visa sponsorship availability, as this varies by role and region. You can also browse Workday's open Sales positions filtered by visa type on Migrate Mate, which helps you identify roles where sponsorship aligns with your specific visa category before you invest time in the application.
Which visa types does Workday commonly sponsor for Sales positions?
Workday sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying Sales roles and supports Green Card sponsorship through the PERM process, typically EB-2 or EB-3 classifications, for employees in longer-term positions. F-1 OPT and CPT are also supported for eligible candidates early in their careers. Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying occupations may also be eligible for TN visa sponsorship.
What qualifications does Workday look for in Sales candidates who need visa sponsorship?
Workday's Sales hiring for sponsored candidates typically favors backgrounds in enterprise software, cloud platforms, or SaaS environments. For H-1B purposes, roles need to demonstrate specialty occupation status, so experience in solution consulting, technical pre-sales, or vertical-specific enterprise sales strengthens your petition. A bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field is generally expected.
How do I handle the H-1B cap lottery timeline when targeting a Sales role at Workday?
If you're not already on an H-1B, Workday would need to enter you in the USCIS lottery, which opens in March for an October 1 start date. That means a job offer in early spring is the practical target. If you miss the lottery, remaining on F-1 OPT or pursuing a cap-exempt employer bridge are common ways to stay eligible while waiting for the next registration cycle.
