Our Approach to Flexible Work
With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.
Pursuant to applicable Fair Chance law, Workday will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.

Frame Your Enterprise SaaS Experience Clearly
Workday's Sales Executive roles center on large, consultative deals with HR and finance buyers. Tailor your resume to show quota attainment in complex, multi-stakeholder cycles rather than transactional or SMB sales, which won't map to their hiring profile.
Target Roles Aligned With Your Visa Timeline
If your OPT authorization window is under six months, prioritize Workday openings that list immediate start dates. For H-1B transfers, confirm the role qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards before applying, since sales roles can face scrutiny.
Ask About Sponsorship Scope During Screening
Workday sponsors multiple visa types, but not every recruiter knows which categories cover a specific Sales Executive opening. Ask directly in the first recruiter call whether the role is approved for H-1B or TN sponsorship so you don't reach the offer stage blind.
Prepare Your PERM Documentation Early
If you're targeting a Green Card pathway through Workday, PERM recruitment requires the employer to advertise the role publicly and document that no qualified U.S. workers were displaced. Gather your credentials and degree equivalency evidence before your one-year anniversary in the role.
Use Migrate Mate to Surface Verified Openings
Finding Sales Executive roles at Workday that are confirmed sponsorship-eligible takes real filtering. Use Migrate Mate to browse verified openings by visa type so you're applying to positions where sponsorship is already on the table, not speculating from a generic job listing.
Align Your Interview Narrative to Workday's Sales Motion
Workday sells into large enterprises on multi-year contracts, often displacing incumbent systems. In interviews, tie your experience to navigating executive-level objections and managing long sales cycles, which signals you can operate in their go-to-market environment from day one.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Workday sponsor H-1B visas for Sales Executives?
Yes, Workday has a consistent history of sponsoring H-1B visas across its workforce, including sales functions. That said, H-1B eligibility for a Sales Executive role depends on the specific job duties meeting USCIS's specialty occupation standard, which requires a direct relationship between the position and a qualifying bachelor's degree field. Confirm the role's eligibility early in the process.
How do I apply for Sales Executive jobs at Workday?
Applications go through Workday's careers portal. Before applying, use Migrate Mate to identify which open Sales Executive postings are confirmed sponsorship-eligible for your visa category, so you're not spending time on roles that won't support your status. Tailor your resume to enterprise SaaS sales cycles and HR or finance vertical experience, which align closely with Workday's buyer profile.
Which visa types does Workday commonly sponsor for Sales Executive roles?
Workday sponsors H-1B transfers and new cap-subject petitions, F-1 OPT and CPT extensions, TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories, and immigrant visa pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for longer-term employees. TN visa eligibility for sales roles depends on whether the position maps to a listed USMCA occupation, so verify that fit before relying on it.
What qualifications does Workday expect for a Sales Executive position?
Workday's Sales Executive roles typically require a bachelor's degree and demonstrated experience closing enterprise software deals, often in the HR technology, ERP, or finance software space. Familiarity with multi-threaded deals involving procurement, IT, and C-suite stakeholders matters more than raw years of experience. For H-1B purposes, your degree field should connect directly to the role's core duties, not just sales broadly.
How long does the sponsorship and onboarding process take at a company like Workday?
For H-1B transfers, USCIS standard processing runs three to five months, though premium processing can reduce that to 15 business days. OPT to H-1B cap transitions require filing by April 1 for an October 1 start, so timing your offer relative to that cap window is critical. PERM-based Green Card processes typically take one to three years depending on your country of birth and DOL processing queues.
