INTRODUCTION
At Snowflake, we are powering the era of the agentic enterprise. To usher in this new era, we seek AI-native thinkers across every function who are energized by the opportunity to reinvent how they work. You don’t just use tools; you possess an innate curiosity, treating AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems and accelerate your impact. We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset — who rapidly test emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done.
Snowflake's Sales Operations organization is seeking a Senior Manager for Go-to-Market (GTM) Planning to join our GTM Planning team. In this role, you will bring deep subject matter expertise in planning operations and lead a team of analysts and individual contributors responsible for executing in-year planning operations across the GTM organization. You will own the processes, systems, and operational rigor behind quota setting, attainment management, and in-year adjustments — ensuring planning outputs are accurate, on time, and trusted by the field. Additionally, you will partner closely with Field Operations, HR, Finance, and Enterprise Technology to coordinate cross-functional planning inputs and continuously improve the processes and tools that power GTM planning execution.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL GET TO:
- Lead in-year operations execution across your assigned GTM coverage areas — including new hire quota setup, proration methodology, attainment checks, exception handling, and quota deployment.
- Own Pigment model governance within your domain: data inputs, model logic, version control, and output accuracy for in-year operations.
- Partner with Field Operations to ensure consistent and timely delivery of quota and attainment data; serve as the primary operational point of contact for in-year issues across your coverage.
- Design, document, and deliver enablement on in-year operations policies and processes for Field Operations and cross-functional partners.
- Drive cross-functional coordination with HR, Finance, and Enterprise Technology to ensure planning inputs and outputs are accurate, aligned to plan intent, and delivered on time.
- Identify process gaps and implement system-based improvements; drive automation and operational enhancements that reduce manual work and improve cycle reliability.
- Perform regular quota and attainment reviews to ensure accurate performance reporting and commissions processing across your scope.
- Manage and develop a team of analysts and individual contributors, building domain expertise, planning fundamentals, and a culture of rigor and ownership.
ON DAY ONE WE WILL EXPECT YOU TO HAVE:
- 7+ years of professional experience with a core focus in Sales Operations, GTM planning, or a comparable revenue operations role; experience at a high-growth enterprise technology company is preferred.
- Deep understanding of in-year sales operations processes, including quota methodology, attainment calculation, exception frameworks, and compensation plan operationalization.
- Proficiency in Pigment or comparable planning tools (e.g., Anaplan), including model building, data integration, and version control.
- Strong command of Salesforce and BI/reporting tools (Sigma, Tableau, or equivalent), with the ability to produce reliable planning outputs and dashboards.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional stakeholder relationships, facilitate alignment across HR, Finance, and IT/ET partners, and drive decisions forward.
- Proven track record of delivering accurate, high-quality planning outputs on tight timelines, with the judgment to identify and resolve issues before they escalate.
- Experience managing and developing individual contributors, with a focus on building team capability, documentation standards, and operational discipline.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools; SQL experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.

Align your resume to Snowflake's sales motion
Snowflake's sales roles are built around a land-and-expand model with large enterprise accounts. Highlight experience with complex, multi-stakeholder deals, quota attainment in SaaS or cloud environments, and familiarity with data platforms to pass the initial screen.
Target roles by segment before you apply
Snowflake divides sales by segment, from mid-market to strategic accounts. Roles in enterprise or strategic segments typically move through a longer hiring cycle, giving you more runway to align timing with your OPT expiration or H-1B cap filing window.
Confirm sponsorship willingness early in conversations
Snowflake's recruiting team handles sponsorship decisions centrally, not at the hiring manager level. Ask your recruiter directly during the first call whether the specific role and level are approved for H-1B or Green Card sponsorship before investing time in later interview rounds.
Use Migrate Mate to find visa-friendly sales openings
Not every Snowflake sales role is posted with sponsorship details upfront. Use Migrate Mate to surface openings at Snowflake filtered by visa type, so you're applying to positions where sponsorship is already part of the hiring profile.
Protect your status during offer-to-start delays
Sales hires at enterprise tech companies often involve extended background checks and compensation structuring. If you're on OPT, confirm your start date falls within your authorized period. USCIS H-1B cap-gap rules can extend your work authorization if your OPT expires while an H-1B petition is pending.
Understand the LCA requirement before your start date
Snowflake must file a certified Labor Condition Application with the DOL before submitting your H-1B petition. The LCA ties your visa to a specific work location, which matters for remote or hybrid sales roles where your primary worksite may differ from Snowflake's headquarters.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Snowflake sponsor H-1B visas for Sales roles?
Yes, Snowflake sponsors H-1B visas for Sales roles. The company has an established sponsorship process handled through its HR and legal teams, not individual hiring managers. If you're in the H-1B cap lottery or transferring an existing H-1B from another employer, confirm sponsorship eligibility for your specific role and level during the recruiter screen, since not every position is automatically approved.
How do I apply for Sales jobs at Snowflake?
Applications go through Snowflake's careers portal. Search by function using terms like 'account executive,' 'sales engineer,' or 'partner manager' to find relevant openings. If you need visa sponsorship, Migrate Mate lets you browse Snowflake sales openings filtered by visa type, so you can focus on roles where sponsorship is part of the hiring profile before you apply.
Which visa types does Snowflake commonly sponsor for Sales positions?
Snowflake sponsors H-1B, TN visa, F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT for Sales roles, and supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways for longer-tenured employees. TN visa is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying roles. OPT and CPT are typically used for internship or entry-level positions, while H-1B is the most common path for full-time sales hires who need employer-sponsored status.
What qualifications does Snowflake look for in Sales candidates who need sponsorship?
Snowflake's sales organization prioritizes candidates with experience selling SaaS or cloud data solutions, a track record of closing enterprise deals, and comfort working in a technical sales environment. For H-1B eligibility, your role also needs to qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, meaning a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field is typically required as part of the petition.
How do I manage timing between a Snowflake offer and my visa filing deadline?
H-1B cap petitions can only be filed once per year, with USCIS accepting filings in April for an October 1 start date. If your OPT is expiring before October, cap-gap protection may cover the gap if your petition is filed on time. For active H-1B holders, Snowflake can file an H-1B transfer, which lets you start work as soon as the petition is received by USCIS without waiting for approval.
