At Snowflake, we are powering the era of the agentic enterprise. To usher in this new era, we seek AI-native thinkers across every function who are energized by the opportunity to reinvent how they work. You don’t just use tools; you possess an innate curiosity, treating AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems and accelerate your impact. We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset — who rapidly test emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done.
Build the future of data with the Snowflake Data Catalog, Collaboration, and Marketplace team.
Snowflake Design is a world-class team of curious problem solvers on a mission to evolve and improve the way the world works with data. Great design is a strategic differentiator for Snowflake — but that differentiation doesn’t come automatically. We’re looking for talented, collaborative, and technical designers to join the team and drive the mission forward while doing career-defining work.
At Snowflake, Product Designers identify opportunities, shape the vision of our products, and ensure we’re delivering highly crafted, honed products that our customers love. As we continue to develop new products and push our existing products forward, we’re looking for Designers to redefine the future of working with data, from 0 -> 1. Product Designers at Snowflake work across data visualization, data catalog, marketplace experiences, collaboration, governance, and AI-powered workflows.
We are specifically looking for designers who can work natively with AI as a material of design: shaping agentic experiences, designing for trust and transparency, prototyping quickly in code and AI tooling, and partnering closely with engineering, PM and data science to bring intelligent product experiences to life.
YOUR IMPACT:
- Drive a significant, complex, and technical product area forward, shaping vision and owning execution
- Design AI-native product experiences that help customers work faster, make better decisions, and unlock more value from their data
- Delight customers by designing high-quality products that deliver meaningful value
- Champion user empathy in everything you do, evangelizing partners to do the same
- Raise the bar for how Snowflake designs intelligent, trustworthy, and usable AI experiences
YOUR ROLE:
- Identify and drive design opportunities by connecting the dots between user and business needs
- Collaborate and effectively influence your engineering and product partners to design and deliver excellent products
- Work end-to-end by identifying opportunities, establishing the vision, and working with engineering to deliver high quality, robust solutions
- Collaborate with the broader design team to ensure a seamless product experience
- Prototype quickly using AI tooling, coded prototypes, and lightweight experiments to get out of static mockups faster and learn earlier
- Define interaction patterns for AI experiences that account for ambiguity, confidence, feedback loops, explainability, and user trust
- Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate AI experiences using both qualitative and quantitative signals, including user feedback, behavior, and model performance
- Deliver detailed, robust design solutions, and work directly with engineering to ensure a high quality product reaches the hands of our customers
- Utilize and extend Snowflake’s Design System
- Develop strong rationale for design decisions, and articulate your perspective
YOUR EXPERIENCE:
- 8+ years as a product designer
- Experience collaborating closely with engineering and product partners
- Experience working with data and technical complexity
- Experience designing AI-powered or AI-native product experiences, such as copilots, assistants, agentic workflows, recommendations, or intelligent automation
- End-to-end ownership of meaningful features or surfaces
- Your end-user advocacy has shaped product experiences you can point to
- Shipped products that have simplified complex workflows
- You have iterated on shipped products based on customer usage and feedback
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience in fast-paced environments with quick delivery and iteration cycles
- Ability to prototype either alone or with engineering partners to get out of mockups faster
- Interest in the data space and cutting edge technologies
- Experience with web technologies like HTML, Javascript/React, and CSS

Frame your credentials around cloud data architecture
Snowflake's Product Architect roles sit at the intersection of data platform engineering and customer-facing technical strategy. Tailor your resume to show hands-on experience with cloud-native architectures, not just software development broadly.
Request an H-1B transfer if already sponsored
If you're currently on an H-1B with another employer, Snowflake can file an H-1B transfer. You can start working as soon as USCIS receives the petition, so you don't need to wait for approval before your start date.
Clarify sponsorship scope during recruiter screening
Ask the recruiter explicitly whether the role supports your specific visa type, especially for TN or J-1. Product Architect roles at Snowflake are typically open to sponsorship, but confirming scope early prevents wasted interviews.
Align your OPT or CPT timeline with Snowflake's hiring cycles
Snowflake runs structured hiring pipelines that can take eight to twelve weeks from first interview to offer. If you're on F-1 OPT with less than six months remaining, discuss the H-1B cap-gap provision with your DSO before accepting an offer.
Prepare for a PERM-compatible employment history early
For Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3, DOL's PERM audit requires documented proof of prior qualifying experience. Gather employment verification letters and performance records before the process starts, not after your employer initiates it.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Product Architect roles at Snowflake
Search Migrate Mate to filter for Product Architect positions at Snowflake that actively support visa sponsorship. It cuts out the manual research of checking which job listings are open to international candidates before you apply.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Snowflake sponsor H-1B visas for Product Architects?
Yes, Snowflake sponsors H-1B visas for Product Architect roles. The company has a consistent pattern of filing H-1B petitions for technical and architecture positions. If you're already on an H-1B, Snowflake can file a transfer petition, allowing you to start once USCIS acknowledges receipt rather than waiting for a full approval.
Which visa types does Snowflake commonly sponsor for Product Architect roles?
Snowflake sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN visa, J-1 visa, and Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for Product Architect positions. H-1B is the most common route for full-time hires. TN visa is available for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying specialty occupations. Green Card sponsorship typically follows after a period of employment.
How do I apply for Product Architect jobs at Snowflake?
Browse open Product Architect roles on Snowflake's careers page or through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship eligibility. Tailor your application to highlight cloud data platform experience, enterprise architecture work, and any familiarity with Snowflake's ecosystem. Referrals from current Snowflake employees meaningfully increase your visibility in the review process.
What qualifications does Snowflake expect for Product Architect roles?
Snowflake typically looks for a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a closely related field, which also satisfies the H-1B specialty occupation requirement. Beyond credentials, strong candidates have hands-on experience with cloud data platforms, a track record of translating technical architecture into customer or product outcomes, and familiarity with large-scale data infrastructure.
How do I plan my visa timeline when pursuing a Product Architect role at Snowflake?
Build in eight to twelve weeks for Snowflake's interview and offer process, then add USCIS processing time on top. Standard H-1B processing runs three to six months. If you need a faster start date, discuss premium processing with your Snowflake recruiter early. For F-1 OPT candidates, confirm your remaining authorized work period before the offer stage.
