About us
At LangChain, our mission is to make intelligent agents ubiquitous. We build the foundation for agent engineering in the real world, helping developers move from prototypes to production-ready AI agents that teams can rely on. We began as widely adopted open-source tools and have grown to also offer a platform for building, evaluating, deploying, and operating agents at scale.
With $125M raised at Series B from IVP, Sequoia, Benchmark, CapitalG, and Sapphire Ventures, we’re at a stage where we’re continuing to develop new products, growth is accelerating, and all team members have meaningful impact on what we build and how we work together. LangChain is a place where your contributions can shape how this technology shows up in the real world.
Today, LangChain, LangGraph, LangSmith, and Fleet are used by teams shipping real AI products across startups and large enterprises. Millions of developers trust LangChain to power AI teams at companies like Replit, Clay, Coinbase, Workday, Lyft, Cloudflare, Harvey, Rippling, Vanta, and 35% of the Fortune 500.
About the Team
The LangSmith team owns and builds LangChain's core platform for observability, evaluation, and production reliability of AI systems. From tracing and annotation to run rules, evaluations, and beyond, this team owns LangSmith end-to-end. If you want to define what great AI observability looks like at production scale, this is where that work gets done.
About the Role
We're looking for a Product Manager to own key parts of LangSmith. Building AI products is changing the way software teams work; LangSmith is the observability, evals and deployment platform that makes shipping reliable AI systems possible.
This role sits at the intersection of user experience and production infrastructure. You'll partner with engineers to build features that feel intuitive while solving deeply technical problems: versioning complex prompt chains, debugging multi-step agent failures, or designing evaluation systems that scale from 10 to 10,000 test cases.
You'll work directly with customers — from early-stage startups shipping their first agent to enterprises running mission-critical AI systems — to understand where the platform breaks down and what capabilities unlock new workflows.
- Own the roadmap for a core area of the LangSmith platform.
- Work with customers to understand their challenges and define new product features.
- Work with engineering to define scope, make technical tradeoffs, and ship high-impact features quickly.
- Help shape product strategy alongside our founders and leadership team.
What you'll bring
- 3+ years of product management or engineering experience, ideally building developer tools, infrastructure products, or technical SaaS platforms.
- Deeply technical — you can hold your own in conversations about API design, system architecture, data pipelines, and debugging production issues.
- Bias toward action — you'd rather ship, learn, and iterate than build the perfect solution upfront.
- Strong written and verbal communicator who can align cross-functional teams around a shared vision.
Nice to Have
- Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent technical background.
- Previous experience at a high-growth startup or developer-focused company.
- Hands-on experience building with LLMs, agents, or AI applications.
Compensation
- Annual salary range: $180,000-$215,000
Compensation Philosophy:
We offer competitive compensation that includes base salary, variable compensation for relevant roles, meaningful equity, benefits, and perks. Actual compensation and offerings will vary based on role, level, and location. Team members in the EU, UK, and APAC receive locally competitive benefits aligned with regional norms and regulations.
Benefits
Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, flexible vacation, a 401(k) plan, meals on in-office days in the US and more.

Frame your portfolio around LLM infrastructure work
LangChain builds developer tooling for AI applications, so your portfolio should highlight architectural decisions on retrieval-augmented generation, agent orchestration, or LLM API integration. Generic system design experience won't stand out the way AI-native work does.
Target roles before the annual H-1B registration window
H-1B registration opens in March each year through USCIS. If you want employment starting October 1, you need an offer letter and a sponsoring employer before early March. Build relationships with LangChain's recruiting team well before that window closes.
Distinguish your specialty occupation documentation clearly
USCIS requires that H-1B petitions demonstrate the role is a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field. For Product Architect roles, your offer letter and job description should explicitly name the required discipline, such as computer science or software engineering.
Verify your degree equivalency before applying
If your computer science degree is from outside the United States, get a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved evaluator before applying. LangChain's recruiting team will need this documentation early in the sponsorship process to confirm specialty occupation eligibility.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Product Architect roles at LangChain
Confirmed sponsorship history can be hard to verify through general job boards. Migrate Mate surfaces LangChain's open Product Architect positions alongside their visa sponsorship track record, so you can prioritize your application with confidence before investing time in the process.
Ask about E-3 eligibility if you hold Australian citizenship
Australian citizens can bypass the H-1B lottery entirely using the E-3 visa, which has no annual cap and can be processed at a U.S. consulate in Australia. Product Architect roles at technology companies like LangChain qualify as specialty occupations under E-3 criteria.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does LangChain sponsor H-1B visas for Product Architects?
Yes, LangChain sponsors H-1B visas for Product Architect roles. The company operates in the AI developer tooling space and has a history of supporting visa sponsorship for technical talent in this function. You'll need to secure an offer before the annual USCIS H-1B registration window in March to be eligible for an October 1 start date.
How do I apply for Product Architect jobs at LangChain?
You can find open Product Architect positions at LangChain through Migrate Mate, which lists roles alongside verified visa sponsorship information so you know upfront which positions are accessible to international applicants. Once you identify a role, apply directly through LangChain's careers page and flag your visa sponsorship needs early in the recruiter conversation to avoid delays.
Which visa types does LangChain commonly sponsor for Product Architect roles?
LangChain sponsors both H-1B and E-3 visas for Product Architect positions. The H-1B is the most common pathway for international candidates but requires winning the annual lottery. The E-3 is available exclusively to Australian citizens, has no lottery, and can be renewed indefinitely in two-year increments as long as you remain employed in a qualifying specialty occupation role.
What qualifications does LangChain expect for a Product Architect role?
LangChain's Product Architect roles typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field, along with hands-on experience designing systems that involve large language models, API orchestration, or developer-facing infrastructure. Experience contributing to or building on top of open-source AI tooling is a strong differentiator given LangChain's product focus.
How do I estimate the visa sponsorship timeline if I receive an offer from LangChain?
Timeline depends on which visa applies to your situation. For H-1B, your employer must file after the lottery selection in March, with work authorization beginning October 1 at the earliest. Premium processing through USCIS can cut adjudication to roughly 15 business days. For E-3 applicants, consular processing in Australia typically takes two to four weeks after your interview is scheduled, making the overall timeline significantly shorter.
