About us
At LangChain, our mission is to make intelligent agents ubiquitous. We build the foundation for agent engineering in the real world, helping developers move from prototypes to production-ready AI agents that teams can rely on. We began as widely adopted open-source tools and have grown to also offer a platform for building, evaluating, deploying, and operating agents at scale.
With $125M raised at Series B from IVP, Sequoia, Benchmark, CapitalG, and Sapphire Ventures, we’re at a stage where we’re continuing to develop new products, growth is accelerating, and all team members have meaningful impact on what we build and how we work together. LangChain is a place where your contributions can shape how this technology shows up in the real world.
Today, our platform includes LangSmith (Observability, Evaluation, Deployment, Fleet, and Sandboxes), our open source frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, and Deep Agents), and the newly launched LangSmith Engine for autonomous agent improvement. We have 100M+ monthly open source downloads, 6,000+ active LangSmith customers, and 5 of the Fortune 10 use LangSmith in production (+ 35% of the Fortune 500 overall), including teams at Klarna, Clay, Coinbase, Workday, Lyft, Cloudflare, Harvey, Rippling, Vanta, LinkedIn, Monday.com, Nvidia, and Bridgewater.

- Content Review: Edit and review documentation produced by other team members to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously update and improve documentation as new product features are developed or existing ones are updated.

Frame your LLM experience in technical sales terms
LangChain hires Technical Sales Engineers who can demo complex agent workflows to enterprise buyers. Document hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or RAG pipelines in your resume before applying, not after receiving interest.
Target LangChain's enterprise and solutions engineering openings
LangChain's Technical Sales Engineer postings often appear under solutions engineering or pre-sales titles. Search both variations when scanning their careers page, since role titles shift depending on which product line the team is hiring for.
Confirm H-1B or E-3 eligibility before your first interview
LangChain sponsors both H-1B and E-3 visas for technical roles. If you're Australian, the E-3 avoids the lottery entirely, letting you start after any approved petition. Verify your current status allows a change or transfer before the offer stage.
Prepare your specialty occupation evidence early
USCIS requires Technical Sales Engineer petitions to demonstrate the role meets specialty occupation standards. Gather job descriptions referencing specific degree requirements, plus any published technical writing, certifications, or architecture diagrams that show the specialized nature of your work.
Use Migrate Mate to surface active LangChain sponsorship roles
Confirmed sponsorship postings at LangChain move quickly. Use Migrate Mate to filter Technical Sales Engineer openings by visa type so you're applying to roles where sponsorship is already confirmed, not guessing from generic job board listings.
Align your offer timing with H-1B cap deadlines
If you need a new H-1B, USCIS registration opens in March for an October 1 start. Work backward from that window when negotiating your start date with LangChain, so both sides understand the realistic onboarding timeline.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does LangChain sponsor H-1B visas for Technical Sales Engineers?
Yes, LangChain sponsors H-1B visas for Technical Sales Engineer roles. Because the position requires specialized knowledge of AI frameworks and enterprise software architecture, it generally meets USCIS specialty occupation criteria. If you're subject to the H-1B cap, your employer will need to register you in the annual March lottery before filing a full petition.
Which visa types are commonly used for Technical Sales Engineer roles at LangChain?
LangChain sponsors both H-1B and E-3 visas for Technical Sales Engineers. Australian citizens benefit most from the E-3 path, which has no lottery, no annual numerical limit in practice, and allows two-year renewable periods. Candidates already holding L-1 visa or O-1 visa status may also transfer into a Technical Sales Engineer role, though LangChain would need to file a new petition.
How do I apply for Technical Sales Engineer jobs at LangChain?
Apply directly through LangChain's careers page or find confirmed sponsorship openings through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa type. Tailor your application to demonstrate hands-on experience with LangChain's tooling, including LangGraph or LangSmith, and highlight any enterprise pre-sales or solutions engineering background. Technical screen rounds typically test your ability to architect and explain LLM-based workflows to non-technical buyers.
What qualifications does LangChain look for in a Technical Sales Engineer?
LangChain generally expects a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, combined with pre-sales or solutions engineering experience at a developer tooling or AI company. Practical familiarity with LangChain's open-source ecosystem, the ability to run live demos with enterprise customers, and experience scoping technical integrations are all differentiating factors in their hiring process.
How do I understand the timeline for getting visa sponsorship through LangChain?
Timeline depends heavily on visa type. E-3 applicants can move from offer to consular interview in four to eight weeks if the Labor Condition Application is filed promptly with DOL. H-1B transfers for candidates already in H-1B status can also move quickly under portability rules. New H-1B cap cases require winning the March lottery and waiting for an October 1 start date, so a full year of lead time is realistic for that path.
