INTRODUCTION
At Snowflake, we are powering the era of the agentic enterprise. To usher in this new era, we seek AI-native thinkers across every function who are energized by the opportunity to reinvent how they work. You don’t just use tools; you possess an innate curiosity, treating AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems and accelerate your impact. We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset — who rapidly test emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done.
Snowflake is redefining how data is stored, processed, and activated. We are building a next-generation pipelines and orchestration platform—native to Snowflake and designed for the modern data and AI stack.
We are looking for a Staff Product Manager to further evolve Snowflake Tasks into a full end-to-end orchestration system that powers data engineering, analytics, machine learning, and AI workloads.
This is a high-impact, high-ownership role where you will define the product vision, drive the roadmap, and work cross-functionally to deliver a unified orchestration experience for Snowflake customers.
- Define and drive the product vision and roadmap for pipelines and orchestration in Snowflake
- Evolve Snowflake Tasks into a full-featured orchestration platform supporting complex workflows and dependencies
- Simplify how customers build pipelines by moving toward declarative, native orchestration models
- Partner closely with data engineering, ML/AI teams, and other platform groups to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Drive adoption and growth of existing capabilities while identifying new opportunities for expansion
- Act as the single-threaded owner (DRI) for this product area
WHY THIS ROLE IS EXCITING
- Define the future of data pipelines: Help move the industry beyond fragmented tools toward a unified platform
- Massive impact: Own a core layer of the Snowflake platform used by thousands of customers
- Proven + growing business: Work on a product area that already generates significant revenue and is growing rapidly
- 0 1 + scale: Combine greenfield platform building with scaling an established product
- End-to-end ownership: Operate as the sole PM with full responsibility for strategy and execution
- Cross-functional influence: Collaborate across AI, ML, and core data platform teams
WHO YOU ARE
- 8+ years of product management experience (or equivalent experience in data platforms or engineering leadership)
-
Strong background in data pipelines, orchestration, or data infrastructure
-
Experience with Airflow, Dagster, DBT, or similar tools is highly valuable
-
Proven ability to:
-
Build platform products, not just features
- Operate in 0 1 and scaling environments
- Strong technical fluency (SQL, distributed systems, or data processing concepts)
- Experience working with data engineering, ML, or AI workflows
- Ability to operate as a highly autonomous owner in a complex, cross-functional environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
BONUS POINTS
- Experience building developer platforms or internal tools
- Familiarity with modern data stack architectures
- Background in AI/ML pipelines or workflows

Frame your PM experience around data products
Snowflake's PM roles are concentrated in data cloud, AI, and developer tooling. Positioning your background around data infrastructure, platform products, or API-driven tooling makes your application far more relevant than general product experience.
Confirm OPT STEM extension eligibility before applying
Snowflake is an E-Verify participant, which is required for STEM OPT extensions. If you're on F-1 OPT, verify your degree field qualifies for a 24-month STEM extension before your initial 12 months expire, since PM roles in tech typically qualify under CIP codes for computer science or information systems.
Target roles on Migrate Mate to filter for sponsorship-confirmed openings
Search Snowflake's Product Manager openings on Migrate Mate to surface roles where visa sponsorship has been confirmed, so you're not spending time on positions that quietly exclude international candidates in later interview stages.
Anticipate the LCA wage level during offer negotiation
Before accepting an offer, understand that your H-1B petition requires a Labor Condition Application filed with DOL, certifying your salary meets the prevailing wage for your location and job level. For senior PM roles in San Francisco or Seattle, Level III and IV prevailing wages are substantially higher than junior benchmarks.
Request H-1B cap-exempt status verification if applicable
If you've already been counted against the H-1B cap at a previous employer, Snowflake can file a transfer petition at any point in the year without lottery risk. Confirm your prior approval notice shows a valid cap-subject selection so there's no ambiguity during filing.
Prepare a degree-to-role equivalency narrative for specialty occupation
USCIS requires that H-1B Product Manager petitions demonstrate the role is a specialty occupation requiring a specific bachelor's degree or higher. Prepare documentation connecting your degree field directly to PM responsibilities at Snowflake, especially if your title spans engineering, design, or business functions.

Find Product Manager at Snowflake JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Snowflake sponsor H-1B visas for Product Managers?
Yes, Snowflake sponsors H-1B visas for Product Manager roles. The company files both new cap-subject H-1B petitions through the annual lottery and cap-exempt transfer petitions for candidates already holding H-1B status. Sponsorship applies across PM levels, though availability can depend on the specific team and headcount approval for the role you're targeting.
How do I apply for Product Manager jobs at Snowflake?
Applications go through Snowflake's careers portal, where PM roles are listed by product area and level. To find openings filtered for visa sponsorship, browse Migrate Mate's Snowflake listings directly. Tailoring your application to Snowflake's data cloud context, specifically referencing experience with platform products, data infrastructure, or developer-facing tools, meaningfully improves your chances of progressing past initial screening.
Which visa types does Snowflake commonly sponsor for Product Manager roles?
Snowflake sponsors H-1B visas as the primary long-term work authorization path for Product Managers. The company also supports F-1 OPT and CPT for early-career candidates, TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying PM roles, J-1 for eligible exchange visitors, and Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3 classifications for employees on an immigrant visa track.
What qualifications does Snowflake expect for Product Manager roles?
Snowflake's PM roles typically require a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a closely related technical field, combined with demonstrated experience owning a product roadmap. For H-1B purposes, the degree field needs to align with the specific PM function. Roles in data platform or AI products often expect hands-on familiarity with SQL, cloud architecture, or developer workflows, not just product methodology.
How do I think about the H-1B timeline if I'm currently on OPT targeting Snowflake?
If you're on F-1 OPT, the H-1B lottery opens in March for an October 1 start date. If Snowflake selects and files for you, your OPT must remain valid through October 1 or you'll need a cap-gap extension, which bridges the gap automatically if you're in a valid OPT period when your petition is filed. STEM OPT extensions give you additional runway if the first lottery attempt is unsuccessful.
