INTRODUCTION
At Snowflake, we are powering the era of the agentic enterprise. To usher in this new era, we seek AI-native thinkers across every function who are energized by the opportunity to reinvent how they work. You don’t just use tools; you possess an innate curiosity, treating AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems and accelerate your impact. We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset — who rapidly test emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done.
Snowflake is redefining how data is stored, processed, and activated. We are building a next-generation pipelines and orchestration platform—native to Snowflake and designed for the modern data and AI stack.
We are looking for a Staff Product Manager to further evolve Snowflake Tasks into a full end-to-end orchestration system that powers data engineering, analytics, machine learning, and AI workloads.
This is a high-impact, high-ownership role where you will define the product vision, drive the roadmap, and work cross-functionally to deliver a unified orchestration experience for Snowflake customers.
- Define and drive the product vision and roadmap for pipelines and orchestration in Snowflake
- Evolve Snowflake Tasks into a full-featured orchestration platform supporting complex workflows and dependencies
- Simplify how customers build pipelines by moving toward declarative, native orchestration models
- Partner closely with data engineering, ML/AI teams, and other platform groups to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Drive adoption and growth of existing capabilities while identifying new opportunities for expansion
- Act as the single-threaded owner (DRI) for this product area
WHY THIS ROLE IS EXCITING
- Define the future of data pipelines: Help move the industry beyond fragmented tools toward a unified platform
- Massive impact: Own a core layer of the Snowflake platform used by thousands of customers
- Proven + growing business: Work on a product area that already generates significant revenue and is growing rapidly
- 0 1 + scale: Combine greenfield platform building with scaling an established product
- End-to-end ownership: Operate as the sole PM with full responsibility for strategy and execution
- Cross-functional influence: Collaborate across AI, ML, and core data platform teams
WHO YOU ARE
- 8+ years of product management experience (or equivalent experience in data platforms or engineering leadership)
-
Strong background in data pipelines, orchestration, or data infrastructure
-
Experience with Airflow, Dagster, DBT, or similar tools is highly valuable
-
Proven ability to:
-
Build platform products, not just features
- Operate in 0 1 and scaling environments
- Strong technical fluency (SQL, distributed systems, or data processing concepts)
- Experience working with data engineering, ML, or AI workflows
- Ability to operate as a highly autonomous owner in a complex, cross-functional environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
BONUS POINTS

Frame your roadmap experience around data infrastructure
Snowflake's Product Lead roles sit at the intersection of enterprise data, AI, and cloud infrastructure. Tailor your resume to show ownership of technically complex products, not just consumer-facing ones. Generic SaaS experience won't stand out.
Verify your visa category matches the role level
Product Lead positions typically require a specialty occupation degree field, which USCIS scrutinizes closely for H-1B petitions. A degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems strengthens your petition. Business degrees alone can trigger a request for evidence.
Search Snowflake openings through Migrate Mate
Snowflake posts Product Lead roles across multiple teams and geographies. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for positions open to visa sponsorship, so you're not wasting applications on roles that won't support your status.
Raise sponsorship directly in the recruiter screen
Snowflake recruiters handle sponsorship questions routinely for technical and product roles. Ask explicitly whether the specific Product Lead opening supports H-1B transfer or new filing, not just sponsorship in general, to avoid late-stage surprises.
Time your application around the H-1B cap cycle
If you need a new H-1B, Snowflake would need to register you in the USCIS lottery by mid-March for an October 1 start. Build your interview timeline backward from that deadline, targeting offers by late January at the latest.
Understand how PERM affects long-term planning at Snowflake
For Green Card sponsorship via EB-2 or EB-3, your employer initiates PERM through DOL after a minimum period of employment. Product Lead roles at Snowflake are typically eligible, but PERM timelines can extend well beyond a year, so start the conversation early.

Find Product Lead at Snowflake JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Snowflake sponsor H-1B visas for Product Leads?
Yes, Snowflake sponsors H-1B visas for Product Lead roles. The company has a consistent history of filing H-1B petitions for product and technical functions. If you're already on an H-1B with another employer, Snowflake can file an H-1B transfer, which lets you start working as soon as USCIS receives the petition.
How do I apply for Product Lead jobs at Snowflake?
You can find and filter Product Lead openings at Snowflake on Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles that include visa sponsorship. Apply directly through Snowflake's careers portal. The process typically involves a recruiter screen, a product sense interview, a cross-functional collaboration round, and a final executive review. Prepare to articulate your go-to-market and technical depth in equal measure.
Which visa types does Snowflake commonly use for Product Lead roles?
Snowflake sponsors H-1B visas most frequently for Product Leads, along with TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying roles. F-1 OPT and CPT are accepted for early-career candidates. For longer-term immigration, Snowflake supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through the PERM process after an initial employment period.
What qualifications does Snowflake expect for a Product Lead role?
Snowflake Product Lead roles typically require several years of product management experience, with a strong preference for backgrounds in cloud infrastructure, data platforms, or enterprise software. A bachelor's degree in a technical field supports H-1B eligibility. Demonstrated experience owning a full product lifecycle, working with engineering teams, and driving enterprise adoption carries significant weight in their hiring process.
How do I navigate the visa filing timeline after receiving a Snowflake offer?
Once you have an offer, your Snowflake immigration team or outside counsel will coordinate the filing. For H-1B transfers, USCIS allows you to begin work upon receipt of the petition, so there's no mandatory waiting period. For new H-1B cap-subject cases, work authorization starts October 1 following a successful lottery selection in March. Confirm which scenario applies to you before accepting.
