INTRODUCTION
At Snowflake, we are powering the era of the agentic enterprise. To usher in this new era, we seek AI-native thinkers across every function who are energized by the opportunity to reinvent how they work. You don’t just use tools; you possess an innate curiosity, treating AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems and accelerate your impact. We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset — who rapidly test emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done.
Snowflake empowers more than 10,000 organizations worldwide to unlock the full potential of AI-driven data, shaping the future of intelligent business. As companies embrace transformative AI and data workloads, controlling who can access what — and proving it — is not just important: it's essential.
Join the Security Platform team at the heart of this revolution, where YOU will lead the charge in building the identity and access foundation that customers trust to protect their most sensitive data and AI workloads. Identity and access management is both the foundation and the catalyst for Snowflake's bold mission — and your work will directly shape how thousands of organizations govern access at global scale.
As a Senior Product Manager in our fast-moving, hands-on, customer-focused team, you'll drive innovative IAM and authorization solutions that give customers precise control over who can see, do, and build on their data. You'll have ownership of delivering cutting-edge capabilities including role-based access control (RBAC), privilege management, identity governance, authentication policy enforcement, and AI-powered access intelligence experiences.
You will team up with talented engineers, collaborate across functions, and shape the roadmap for IAM products that not only meet industry best practices but set new standards for least-privilege access in the cloud data ecosystem.
AS A SENIOR PRODUCT MANAGER AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL:
- Own and manage the product roadmap for Snowflake's role-based access control (RBAC) and IAM platform, including privilege management, identity governance, and authentication policy enforcement
- Translate complex authorization and identity requirements into detailed product specs and user stories for the Snowflake platform
- Leverage AI to deliver intelligent access governance experiences on Snowflake, from privilege recommendations and access intelligence to anomaly detection
- Shape how Snowflake governs access for AI agents and non-human identities, an emerging frontier in identity security
- Engage directly with security and IAM teams at enterprise customers to deeply understand their access control pain points, compliance requirements, and governance workflows
- Define and track success metrics for adoption of IAM features including role hierarchies, privilege grants, and policy enforcement
- Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams (compliance, legal, enterprise security) to ensure successful product launches
OUR IDEAL SENIOR PRODUCT MANAGER WILL HAVE:
- 5+ years of product management experience with successful product launches
- Deep understanding of identity and access management concepts: RBAC, ABAC, privilege management, least-privilege principles, identity governance, and authentication policies
- Technical credibility to engage in architectural discussions around authorization models, token-based identity, and directory integrations (SAML, SCIM, OAuth, OIDC)
- Experience defining and launching IAM or access control products in a cloud or SaaS environment
- Familiarity with enterprise IAM compliance requirements (SOC 2, HIPAA, FedRAMP, ISO 27001) and how access governance feeds into audit workflows
- Strong customer empathy and problem-solving abilities, especially the ability to translate compliance and security team needs into elegant, scalable product solutions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across both technical and non-technical stakeholders
BONUS POINTS FOR THE FOLLOWING:
- Experience with agentic AI identity, non-human identity governance, or authorization for autonomous workloads (MCP, workload identity)
- Familiarity with AI-driven access intelligence, continuous least-privilege enforcement, or identity threat detection
- Exposure to building products that serve CISOs, VPs of Identity, and enterprise security buyers
- Understanding of Zero Trust architectures and modern authentication standards (FIDO2, WebAuthn, passkeys)
Snowflake is growing fast, and we’re scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth. We are looking for people who share our values, challenge ordinary thinking, and push the pace of innovation while building a future for themselves and Snowflake.

Frame your EPM credentials around platform scale
Snowflake prioritizes EPMs who've managed programs across distributed engineering orgs, not just single-team projects. Tailor your resume to show cross-functional scope, data infrastructure context, and measurable delivery outcomes before you apply.
Target Snowflake's cloud platform product areas
Snowflake's EPM openings cluster around core platform, data engineering, and AI product lines. Aligning your application to one of these business units signals domain fit and increases your chances of clearing the initial recruiter screen.
Clarify your visa category before your first screen
H-1B and TN carry different employer obligations and timelines. Knowing which category applies to you before your recruiter call lets you answer sponsorship questions confidently and avoids delays once Snowflake's recruiting team escalates to their immigration counsel.
Confirm OPT authorization details with your DSO early
If you're on F-1 OPT, verify your employment start date aligns with your EAD validity window and that your role qualifies for STEM OPT extension. Snowflake's onboarding timeline can stretch several weeks, and a gap between your OPT end date and your start date creates E-Verify complications.
Browse open Engineering Program Manager roles using Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Engineering Program Manager openings at Snowflake by visa type, so you're applying to roles already flagged for sponsorship rather than cold-guessing which positions qualify.
Understand PERM implications if you're pursuing a Green Card
Snowflake sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 green cards for EPMs, but PERM labor certification can take 12 to 18 months before USCIS even receives your I-140. Raise long-term sponsorship intent during the offer stage, not after you've accepted.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Snowflake sponsor H-1B visas for Engineering Program Managers?
Yes, Snowflake sponsors H-1B visas for Engineering Program Manager roles. The H-1B is the most common pathway for international candidates in this function at Snowflake, as EPM positions qualify as specialty occupations requiring a relevant bachelor's degree or higher. If you're currently on OPT or another status, Snowflake's immigration team coordinates with external counsel to manage the H-1B filing process on your behalf.
How do I apply for Engineering Program Manager jobs at Snowflake?
Apply directly through Snowflake's careers portal, or use Migrate Mate to browse current Engineering Program Manager openings at Snowflake filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility. Tailor your application to reflect cross-functional program delivery experience in cloud or data platform environments. Snowflake's recruiting process typically includes an initial recruiter screen, a hiring manager conversation, and a structured loop with engineering and product stakeholders.
Which visa types does Snowflake sponsor for Engineering Program Manager roles?
Snowflake sponsors H-1B, TN visa, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1 visa, and EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for Engineering Program Manager positions. TN visa is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in eligible professional categories. F-1 CPT and OPT apply to current and recent students. Long-term candidates often transition from H-1B to an employer-sponsored Green Card through the PERM labor certification process with USCIS.
What qualifications does Snowflake expect for Engineering Program Manager roles?
Snowflake typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, combined with several years of program management experience in a software or cloud infrastructure environment. Strong candidates demonstrate experience managing multi-team technical programs, working with engineering roadmaps, and driving alignment across product, engineering, and operations. PMP certification can strengthen an application but is rarely listed as a hard requirement.
How do I plan my timeline if Snowflake sponsors my H-1B as an Engineering Program Manager?
USCIS opens H-1B registration in March each year for an April lottery. If selected, your H-1B status begins October 1. If you're on F-1 OPT, you'll need a valid EAD and may qualify for a STEM OPT extension if your role and degree meet DOL criteria. Start conversations with Snowflake's recruiting team well before March so there's enough lead time for your employer to register you in the lottery.
