Engineering Program Manager roles at consulting firms like Westwood require a degree directly tied to the position. Audit whether your engineering or project management degree maps clearly to the role's technical scope before applying, since USCIS scrutinizes specialty occupation eligibility for program management titles.
Target Westwood's Infrastructure and Utilities Practice Areas
Westwood staffs Engineering Program Managers heavily across land development, utilities, and environmental consulting. Framing your resume around client-facing project delivery in these sectors puts you in direct alignment with the work Westwood actually bills clients for, which strengthens both your application and any future sponsorship case.
Clarify Sponsorship Scope During Early Recruiter Conversations
Westwood sponsors multiple visa categories for this function. Ask the recruiter directly which types they're prepared to support for your specific situation, since H-1B, TN, and Green Card pathways each carry different employer obligations and timelines that affect your offer negotiation.
Use Migrate Mate to Surface Active Openings Efficiently
Westwood posts Engineering Program Manager roles across multiple locations and service lines simultaneously. Use Migrate Mate to filter and track open positions that flag visa sponsorship, so you're applying to roles where sponsorship is confirmed rather than assumed.
Account for H-1B Cap Timing in Your Job Search Calendar
If you need an H-1B and aren't currently in H-1B status, USCIS registration opens in March for an October 1 start. Structure your Westwood application and interview timeline to allow offer letters and petition prep well before the registration window closes.
Prepare a PERM-Ready Employment History Before Green Card Discussions
Westwood sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for qualifying roles. DOL's PERM audit process requires employers to document your qualifications precisely against the job requirements, so gather transcripts, official employment verification letters, and project records before sponsorship conversations begin.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Westwood Professional Services sponsor H-1B visas for Engineering Program Managers?
Yes, Westwood Professional Services sponsors H-1B visas for Engineering Program Manager positions. As a consulting firm with ongoing project-based hiring, they have experience navigating the H-1B petition process through USCIS. If you're subject to the annual cap, timing your application around the March registration window is critical to securing an October 1 start date.
How do I apply for Engineering Program Manager jobs at Westwood Professional Services?
You can find and apply for Engineering Program Manager openings at Westwood through Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles that include visa sponsorship. Westwood hires for this function across multiple office locations tied to their regional project portfolios, so filtering by location and practice area helps you identify the most relevant openings for your background.
Which visa types does Westwood Professional Services commonly use for Engineering Program Manager roles?
Westwood sponsors H-1B, TN visa, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1 visa, and EB-2 or EB-3 Green Cards for qualifying Engineering Program Manager positions. TN visa is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in eligible engineering categories. F-1 OPT and CPT can bridge the gap before H-1B sponsorship begins, and EB-2 or EB-3 PERM pathways are available for longer-term immigration goals.

Westwood Engineering Program Managers typically need a bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, electrical, or a related engineering discipline, along with demonstrated experience managing multi-disciplinary project teams and client deliverables. For visa sponsorship purposes, your degree must align directly with the role's technical scope to satisfy USCIS specialty occupation requirements. A PMP certification strengthens your profile but is not universally required.

Timeline depends on the visa type. TN sponsorship can be secured at the border in a single day for eligible Canadians.
