Align Your Credentials to Civil Consulting Standards
BKF Engineers operates in civil and land development consulting, so your credentials carry more weight when they reflect project management experience in infrastructure or site engineering. A PE license or PMP certification tied to civil work signals direct readiness for their project delivery model.
Target Open Roles Across Multiple BKF Offices
BKF has offices across California and the Pacific Northwest, and Engineering Program Manager openings aren't always concentrated in one location. Searching by region, not just job title, surfaces active listings that receive fewer applications and move faster through the hiring process.
Find BKF Openings Through Migrate Mate
Filtering for Engineering Program Manager roles at sponsors with Green Card history is time-consuming without the right tool. Use Migrate Mate to browse verified BKF Engineers listings filtered by visa sponsorship type, so you're only applying where sponsorship is confirmed.
Understand How PERM Filing Affects Your Offer Timeline
BKF's sponsorship pathway runs through PERM labor certification with the DOL before an EB-2 or EB-3 petition reaches USCIS. That process takes 12 to 18 months minimum, so raise the sponsorship conversation early in final-round interviews rather than after an offer is signed.
Clarify Your Current Status During Offer Negotiations
If you're on OPT or a dependent visa with work authorization, communicate that clearly. Consulting firms like BKF plan project staffing around billing cycles, and knowing your authorization expiration date helps them decide whether to initiate an H-1B transfer or move directly to a Green Card sponsorship plan.
Prepare a Portfolio Structured Around Program Scope and Delivery
BKF Engineering Program Managers are evaluated on their ability to coordinate across disciplines and manage client-facing deliverables. Organize your work samples around scope management, cross-team coordination, and on-time delivery rather than individual technical outputs, which is what their interview panels assess.

Find Engineering Program Manager at BKF Engineers JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does BKF Engineers sponsor H-1B visas for Engineering Program Managers?
BKF Engineers' documented sponsorship activity for this role centers on employment-based Green Card pathways, specifically EB-2 and EB-3 categories, rather than H-1B transfers. That said, consulting firms in civil infrastructure often evaluate H-1B sponsorship case by case during the offer stage. Raise the question directly with their HR team once you reach the final interview round, and confirm which pathway applies to your situation before accepting an offer.
Which visa types are commonly used for Engineering Program Manager roles at BKF Engineers?
BKF Engineers has sponsored Engineering Program Managers through EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories, both of which require PERM labor certification filed with the DOL before USCIS adjudicates the immigrant petition. EB-2 applies to roles requiring an advanced degree or exceptional ability, while EB-3 covers positions requiring a bachelor's degree plus progressive experience. The right category depends on the specific job requirements and your educational background.
What qualifications or experience does BKF Engineers expect from Engineering Program Manager candidates?
BKF Engineers typically looks for candidates with a civil engineering background and meaningful experience managing multi-discipline projects in a consulting environment. A bachelor's degree in civil engineering is the baseline, and a PE license adds significant weight. Program-level experience coordinating client deliverables, subconsultants, and internal teams across land development or infrastructure projects is the practical standard their hiring managers evaluate against.
How do I apply for Engineering Program Manager jobs at BKF Engineers?
You can apply directly through BKF Engineers' careers page or find their verified listings on Migrate Mate, which filters by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm sponsorship eligibility before you apply. Tailor your resume to reflect program-level project oversight in civil consulting, not just technical execution. BKF hiring managers respond more favorably to candidates who demonstrate client-facing delivery experience and multi-team coordination from day one of the process.
How long does the visa sponsorship process typically take at a firm like BKF Engineers?
If BKF sponsors you through the EB-2 or EB-3 pathway, the PERM labor certification alone takes 12 to 18 months with the DOL before the I-140 immigrant petition is filed with USCIS. Depending on your country of birth and the priority date backlog, total Green Card timelines can extend well beyond that. Start the sponsorship conversation during offer negotiations so both sides can plan around your current work authorization window.
