Align your credentials with LCA requirements
BKF Engineers must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before any employment-based petition. Confirm your degree and job title clearly map to a specialty occupation in a business management or operations function within civil engineering consulting.
Target roles tied to active project pipelines
Business Manager openings at engineering firms like BKF typically expand during project ramp-up phases. Focus your applications on offices handling large infrastructure or municipal contracts, where operational management headcount is more likely to be justified and sponsored.
Clarify sponsorship scope during the offer stage
EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship involves PERM labor certification, which requires the employer to document recruitment efforts. Ask your hiring contact directly whether the Business Manager role has an established sponsorship pathway or requires case-by-case approval from leadership.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open roles
Business Manager positions at BKF Engineers are posted across multiple channels but not always flagged for sponsorship eligibility. Search Migrate Mate to filter specifically for BKF Engineers openings that have a confirmed visa sponsorship track record for this role type.
Prepare a PERM-ready employment history record
PERM requires detailed documentation of your prior positions, duties, and employers. Gather formal letters from past employers confirming your titles, responsibilities, and tenure before your final interview round so you're not scrambling after an offer is extended.
Position your consulting operations experience precisely
BKF Engineers operates across civil, structural, and land development disciplines. Framing your Business Manager background around multi-disciplinary project coordination, client billing oversight, or subconsultant management signals direct relevance to how their practice groups are structured.

Find Business Manager at BKF Engineers JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does BKF Engineers sponsor H-1B visas for Business Managers?
BKF Engineers' documented sponsorship activity for Business Manager roles centers on employment-based Green Card categories rather than H-1B transfers. If you're already in H-1B status with another employer, a transfer is possible in principle, but you'd want to confirm directly with BKF's HR team whether they support H-1B sponsorship for this specific function before pursuing an application.
Which visa types are commonly used for Business Manager roles at BKF Engineers?
The visa categories associated with Business Manager sponsorship at BKF Engineers are EB-2 and EB-3, both of which require PERM labor certification through the DOL. EB-2 typically applies to roles requiring an advanced degree or exceptional ability, while EB-3 covers positions requiring at least a bachelor's degree and professional experience relevant to the role.
What qualifications and experience does BKF Engineers expect for Business Manager roles?
BKF Engineers is a civil engineering and infrastructure consulting firm, so Business Manager candidates are expected to bring experience managing project financials, client accounts, or operational workflows in a professional services or technical consulting environment. A bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering management, or a related field is standard, and familiarity with project-based billing structures carries real weight in the hiring process.
How do I apply for Business Manager jobs at BKF Engineers?
BKF Engineers posts openings on their careers page and through third-party job boards. To find roles confirmed as visa-sponsorship eligible, browse BKF Engineers on Migrate Mate, which surfaces Business Manager positions with documented sponsorship history. When you apply, tailor your materials to highlight operations and client management experience within engineering or technical consulting specifically.
How do I plan a realistic timeline for Green Card sponsorship through BKF Engineers?
PERM labor certification alone can take six to twelve months from initiation, and that clock doesn't start until after you've accepted an offer and the employer files. For EB-3 applicants from countries with backlogs, total wait times can extend significantly beyond the PERM stage. Building this into your planning before you leave a current role or let a visa status lapse is critical.
