Align your credentials with specialty occupation standards
H-1B eligibility for Engineering Program Manager roles requires a directly related bachelor's degree or higher. USCIS scrutinizes management-heavy titles, so frame your degree and experience around technical engineering disciplines, not general project administration.
Target Langan offices in project-heavy markets
Langan operates across major U.S. metros with active land development and infrastructure pipelines. Offices in high-growth markets tend to have more open requisitions for this role, giving you a stronger foothold for sponsorship conversations during the hiring process.
Research open roles using Migrate Mate
Browse current Engineering Program Manager openings at Langan Engineering and Environmental Services on Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm which positions are open to H-1B or other sponsored candidates before applying.
Clarify sponsorship scope before accepting an offer
During the offer stage, confirm whether Langan will support both H-1B filing and long-term permanent residence through PERM. Some consulting firms sponsor H-1B transfers but handle green card sponsorship case by case, depending on the role's seniority and client-facing structure.
Document your technical leadership experience precisely
Langan's Engineering Program Manager roles typically involve overseeing project delivery across engineering disciplines. When building your resume and portfolio, separate technical decision-making responsibilities from administrative ones so your qualifications read clearly against DOL specialty occupation criteria.
Account for LCA timing in your start date negotiations
Your employer must file a certified Labor Condition Application with DOL before USCIS can process your H-1B petition. This step alone can take one to three weeks. Build that window into your start date discussion so your timeline stays realistic from day one.

Does Langan Engineering and Environmental Services sponsor H-1B visas for Engineering Program Managers?
Yes. Langan Engineering and Environmental Services sponsors H-1B visas for Engineering Program Manager roles. The firm operates as a consulting and professional services employer with an established immigration infrastructure, which means it has the internal processes to handle employer-led filings including the required Labor Condition Application with DOL and the I-129 petition with USCIS.
Which visa types does Langan Engineering and Environmental Services support for Engineering Program Manager positions?
Langan supports a range of visa categories for this function, including H-1B, TN, J-1, and F-1 OPT and CPT for eligible candidates. For candidates on F-1 OPT, the role can serve as a bridge to an H-1B cap-subject petition. Langan also sponsors employment-based Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for longer-term hires in this role.
How do I apply for Engineering Program Manager jobs at Langan Engineering and Environmental Services?
Apply directly through Langan's careers portal or find open Engineering Program Manager positions filtered by visa sponsorship type on Migrate Mate. When applying, highlight technical project leadership experience and your degree field clearly, since Langan's hiring process for this role evaluates both engineering depth and program management scope for specialty occupation purposes.
What qualifications does Langan typically expect for Engineering Program Manager roles?
Langan generally looks for a bachelor's degree or higher in civil, environmental, geotechnical, or a related engineering discipline, along with demonstrated experience managing multi-disciplinary project teams. For visa sponsorship purposes, your degree must align with the technical engineering requirements of the role, not just general management experience, to meet USCIS specialty occupation standards.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship to join Langan as an Engineering Program Manager?
If you need a new H-1B cap-subject petition, USCIS opens registration each March for an October 1 start date. If you already hold H-1B status with another employer, Langan can file an H-1B transfer and you can start once USCIS issues a receipt notice. Factor in DOL's LCA certification step, which precedes the USCIS petition, when planning your transition window.
