Align your credentials to USCIS specialty occupation standards
Engineering Program Manager roles at Carollo require a degree in civil, environmental, or a related engineering discipline. Before applying, confirm your credentials map to the specialty occupation standard USCIS uses, especially if your degree is from outside the U.S.
Target Carollo offices near active water infrastructure projects
Carollo's program management hiring concentrates around large municipal water programs. Researching which regional offices are pursuing or delivering major capital programs gives you a sharper list of locations where Engineering Program Manager openings are most likely to appear.
Demonstrate client-facing program delivery experience in your application
Carollo's Engineering Program Managers sit at the intersection of technical oversight and client management on long-duration public sector programs. Framing your resume around program governance, stakeholder coordination, and scope management directly addresses what hiring managers screen for.
Clarify your visa category with Carollo's HR team before the offer stage
Carollo sponsors multiple visa types including H-1B, E-3, and TN. Raising your status and preferred pathway during later-stage interviews, not after an offer, gives HR time to loop in immigration counsel before the filing timeline becomes a constraint.
Understand H-1B cap timing if you are not already in status
If you need a new H-1B cap filing, USCIS only accepts registrations in March for an October 1 start. Factor this window into your job search timeline so an offer at Carollo does not land outside the filing period without a fallback status in place.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Engineering Program Manager openings at Carollo
Tracking which Carollo postings explicitly accommodate visa sponsorship across multiple offices can be time-consuming. Use Migrate Mate to filter Engineering Program Manager roles at Carollo by visa type so you apply to the right openings without manually parsing each job description.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Carollo Engineers sponsor H-1B visas for Engineering Program Managers?
Yes, Carollo Engineers sponsors H-1B visas for Engineering Program Managers. The company has an established process for working with immigration counsel on cap-subject and cap-exempt filings. If you are not currently in H-1B status, confirm the timing of your offer against the USCIS registration window, which opens each March for an October 1 start date.
Which visa types does Carollo Engineers commonly sponsor for Engineering Program Manager roles?
Carollo sponsors several nonimmigrant and immigrant visa categories for engineering roles, including H-1B, E-3 visa for Australian citizens, TN visa for Canadian and Mexican nationals, and F-1 OPT and CPT for recent graduates. The company also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for longer-tenured employees, which is relevant if you are planning a permanent residence pathway through an engineering consulting employer.
What qualifications and experience does Carollo Engineers expect for Engineering Program Manager positions?
Carollo typically looks for a bachelor's degree or higher in civil, environmental, mechanical, or a closely related engineering field, along with substantial experience managing large capital programs in the water or wastewater sector. Candidates who can demonstrate experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing client relationships with public utilities, and overseeing program budgets and schedules are competitive for these roles.
How do I apply for Engineering Program Manager jobs at Carollo Engineers?
You can browse and apply for Engineering Program Manager openings at Carollo Engineers directly through their careers page or through Migrate Mate, which filters Carollo's postings by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm the role aligns with your immigration situation before applying. Tailoring your application to highlight program governance experience on public sector water infrastructure projects will strengthen your submission.
How do I plan my timeline if I need Carollo Engineers to sponsor my visa?
Timeline depends on your current status. E-3 and TN sponsorship can move quickly, sometimes within a few weeks of an offer, since neither requires USCIS approval before you start. H-1B cap filings follow a fixed annual cycle, so if you need a new cap registration, plan your job search to align with the March registration window. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship typically takes one to three years from initiation.
