Frame your credentials around infrastructure delivery
Carollo operates in water and wastewater consulting, so your resume should highlight program management on civil or environmental infrastructure projects. Generic project management credentials read poorly against candidates with utility or public-sector delivery experience.
Target offices with active program workloads
Carollo staffs Project Program Managers against funded client programs, not headcount plans. Research which regional offices are active on large municipal or federal water contracts, since those locations are most likely to have open roles and budget approval for sponsored hires.
Prepare your PMP or equivalent credential early
Consulting firms in this sector treat the PMP or a comparable credential as a baseline qualifier for program management titles. If yours is pending renewal or you're mid-application, resolve that before your final interview rounds so it doesn't create a credentialing gap during H-1B or PERM filing.
Understand the PERM timeline if you need a Green Card
Carollo sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards, but PERM labor certification through DOL typically takes 12 to 18 months before USCIS even begins adjudicating your I-140. Factor this into your planning if your H-1B time is limited or your OPT cap-gap window is tight.
Use Migrate Mate to find open roles directly
Carollo posts Project Program Manager openings across multiple regions, and availability shifts with contract awards. Use Migrate Mate to filter roles at Carollo by visa sponsorship type so you're only applying to positions where your specific visa category is supported.

Does Carollo Engineers sponsor H-1B visas for Project Program Managers?
Yes, Carollo Engineers sponsors H-1B visas for Project Program Manager roles. The firm operates as an established consulting employer with experience navigating USCIS petitions for technical and program management staff. If you're already on H-1B with another employer, Carollo can file a transfer petition, which lets you start work as soon as USCIS receives the filing under portability rules.
How do I apply for Project Program Manager jobs at Carollo Engineers?
Applications go through Carollo's careers portal, where roles are listed by region and discipline. Before applying, confirm the posting aligns with your visa category, since sponsorship availability can vary by office and project pipeline. Migrate Mate lets you browse open Project Program Manager positions at Carollo filtered by visa type, so you can apply to roles where your specific sponsorship path is already supported.
Which visa types does Carollo Engineers commonly use for Project Program Manager hires?
Carollo sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, J-1, and F-1 OPT and CPT for this role, as well as EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways. E-3 is available to Australian citizens and offers a straightforward two-year renewable status. TN applies to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. H-1B remains the most common path for candidates from other countries.
What qualifications does Carollo Engineers typically expect for Project Program Manager roles?
Carollo's Project Program Manager roles generally require a degree in civil, environmental, or a related engineering discipline, along with substantial program or project management experience on water or wastewater infrastructure. A PMP certification is commonly expected at this level. Candidates with experience managing multi-phase public agency programs, particularly for municipal or federal clients, are well positioned for these roles.
How do I plan my timeline if Carollo Engineers needs to file my visa while I'm on OPT?
If you're on F-1 OPT, the critical date is April 1, when USCIS begins accepting H-1B cap-subject petitions for an October 1 start. Carollo would need to register you in the H-1B lottery in March. If your OPT expires before October 1 and you have a STEM OPT extension, the cap-gap rule lets you remain authorized through September 30 while your petition is pending.
