Frame your PE license strategically
Brown and Caldwell's engineering program management roles frequently require or strongly prefer a Professional Engineer license. If you're on OPT or H-1B, confirm whether your home-country credentials qualify for reciprocity in the state where the role is based before you apply.
Target water and environmental sector experience
Brown and Caldwell focuses exclusively on water, environment, and infrastructure projects. Highlighting program management experience on municipal water systems, wastewater treatment, or environmental remediation projects signals direct fit and shortens the sponsorship conversation with hiring managers.
Search open roles through Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Brown and Caldwell's Engineering Program Manager openings by visa type so you only see roles where sponsorship is actively supported, saving you from applying to positions where that conversation stalls early.
Clarify LCA prevailing wage alignment early
For H-1B transfers or new filings, Brown and Caldwell's HR team needs to file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL certifying your offered wage meets the prevailing rate for your work location. Ask your recruiter which wage level they're targeting before reaching the offer stage.
Prepare a project portfolio showing program-level scope
Engineering Program Manager roles at consulting firms require evidence of multi-project oversight, not just single-project delivery. Compile documentation showing budget authority, cross-functional team leadership, and client management across concurrent infrastructure programs to meet USCIS specialty occupation requirements.
Understand PERM timing if pursuing a Green Card
If Brown and Caldwell offers EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship, PERM labor certification through DOL typically takes 12 to 18 months before USCIS even receives the I-140 petition. Factor that timeline into any negotiation about long-term immigration support at the offer stage.

Find Engineering Program Manager at Brown and Caldwell JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Brown and Caldwell sponsor H-1B visas for Engineering Program Managers?
Yes, Brown and Caldwell sponsors H-1B visas for Engineering Program Managers. As a consulting firm with consistent technical hiring needs, it has an established process for H-1B transfers and new cap-subject filings. Sponsorship is most common for roles requiring specialized environmental or water engineering expertise that aligns with USCIS specialty occupation standards.
Which visa types does Brown and Caldwell commonly support for Engineering Program Manager roles?
Brown and Caldwell supports several visa categories for Engineering Program Managers, including H-1B, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals with qualifying engineering degrees, F-1 OPT and CPT for recent graduates, J-1 for eligible exchange visitors, and employment-based Green Cards through the EB-2 and EB-3 preference categories for longer-term sponsorship pathways.
What qualifications does Brown and Caldwell expect for Engineering Program Manager roles?
Brown and Caldwell typically expects a bachelor's or master's degree in civil, environmental, or a related engineering discipline, along with substantial experience managing multi-project programs in water, wastewater, or environmental infrastructure. A Professional Engineer license is frequently listed as required or preferred, and PMP certification strengthens applications for program-level positions.
How do I apply for Engineering Program Manager jobs at Brown and Caldwell?
You can browse and apply for Engineering Program Manager positions at Brown and Caldwell through Migrate Mate, which filters open roles by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm sponsorship support before applying. Applications typically require a resume, cover letter, and, at the interview stage, evidence of program-scale project leadership and relevant engineering credentials.
How do I time my application if my OPT is running out?
If your F-1 OPT authorization is expiring, apply to Brown and Caldwell positions at least four to six months before your OPT end date. This gives the firm enough runway to file an H-1B cap-subject petition during the April filing window or pursue a cap-exempt route if a qualifying entity is involved. USCIS standard processing typically runs three to five months, so early outreach matters.
