Align your credentials to LCA-defined requirements
Langan files a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before sponsoring any H-1B. Review the prevailing wage level for Program Manager roles in your target office location so your compensation expectations match what Langan can certify without complications.
Frame project delivery experience in engineering contexts
Program Manager candidates at Langan are expected to demonstrate cross-discipline coordination on infrastructure or environmental projects. Quantify scope, budget, and stakeholder complexity from past roles so your resume maps directly to consulting project management, not generic program oversight.
Target Langan offices in high-hiring metro markets
Langan operates across major U.S. cities where engineering demand is concentrated. Offices in markets like New York, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles tend to carry consistent Program Manager openings, so prioritizing applications to those locations improves your odds of reaching an active hiring pipeline.
Clarify OPT and CPT authorization timing with HR early
If you're on F-1 status, confirm whether the role qualifies for STEM OPT extension before accepting an offer. Langan sponsors both F-1 OPT and CPT, but the Program Manager function needs to align with your designated degree field to satisfy USCIS STEM extension requirements.
Use Migrate Mate to surface active Program Manager openings
Langan posts Program Manager roles across multiple locations and practice areas at different times. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Langan positions that match your visa type so you're applying to verified sponsoring roles rather than sifting through general job boards.
Prepare for PERM if targeting long-term permanent residence
Langan sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for Program Managers, which requires a PERM labor certification through DOL. That process involves a defined recruitment period and prevailing wage determination, so initiate the conversation with your hiring manager before your H-1B period is half complete.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Langan Engineering and Environmental Services sponsor H-1B visas for Program Managers?
Yes, Langan Engineering and Environmental Services sponsors H-1B visas for Program Manager roles. The company has an active sponsorship track record across its engineering and environmental consulting practices. Sponsorship is typically employer-initiated after an offer is extended, so the conversation about H-1B support should happen during the offer stage, not before.
Which visa types are commonly used for Program Manager roles at Langan Engineering and Environmental Services?
Langan sponsors H-1B, TN visa, J-1 visa, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for Program Managers. H-1B is the most common route for full-time hires. TN visa is available for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering categories. F-1 OPT and CPT apply to candidates still completing or recently finishing degree programs.
What qualifications and experience does Langan look for in Program Manager candidates?
Langan typically looks for Program Managers with a bachelor's degree or higher in civil, environmental, or a related engineering discipline, combined with demonstrated experience managing multi-disciplinary consulting projects. Client-facing responsibility, budget oversight, and coordination across technical teams are consistently emphasized. Professional Engineer licensure is valued, particularly for roles tied to infrastructure or remediation project delivery.
How do I apply for Program Manager jobs at Langan Engineering and Environmental Services?
You can browse and apply for Program Manager openings at Langan directly through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm eligibility before applying. Langan posts positions across multiple office locations and practice areas, so checking regularly for new listings in your target market increases your chances of finding an active opening that matches your background.
How do I plan my timeline if Langan is sponsoring my H-1B for a Program Manager role?
H-1B petitions for cap-subject cases must be filed by April 1 for an October 1 start date, so your offer and petition preparation need to be complete well before the March registration window opens. If you're transitioning from F-1 OPT, confirm your OPT expiration date against that timeline. Premium processing through USCIS is available if you need a faster adjudication decision after selection.
