Align your credentials with PE licensure expectations
Engineering Manager roles at Langan typically expect a Professional Engineer license or active pursuit of one. Confirm your foreign credentials are evaluated by a NCARB- or NCEES-recognized body before you apply, since credential gaps slow offers significantly.
Target Langan offices in infrastructure-heavy markets
Langan operates across major metro markets where infrastructure and land development demand is highest. Offices in New York, Philadelphia, and Houston tend to hire Engineering Managers most actively, so focus your applications on those geographies rather than smaller regional offices.
Research Langan's LCA filings before your interview
DOL Labor Condition Application disclosures show the wage levels Langan has certified for engineering roles in specific metro areas. Reviewing these before your offer stage helps you benchmark your expected salary and verify the position supports H-1B sponsorship at your experience level.
Clarify sponsorship scope during the offer conversation
Langan sponsors H-1B, TN, and Green Card pathways for engineering roles, but coverage varies by position. Ask directly during the offer stage whether the role supports EB-2 or EB-3 PERM sponsorship, not just initial H-1B transfer, so there are no surprises two years in.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Engineering Manager roles
Sponsorship-eligible Engineering Manager openings at Langan don't always surface clearly on general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to browse verified visa-sponsoring roles at Langan and filter by visa type so you're only applying to positions that match your authorization needs.
Start your H-1B transfer paperwork before resigning
If you're transferring an existing H-1B to Langan, USCIS portability rules let you start work once the new I-129 petition is filed, not after approval. Confirm Langan's immigration counsel will file promptly so you're not in a gap between jobs.

Find Engineering Manager at Langan Engineering and Environmental Services JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Langan Engineering and Environmental Services sponsor H-1B visas for Engineering Managers?
Yes, Langan Engineering and Environmental Services sponsors H-1B visas for Engineering Manager roles. The firm has an established process for filing H-1B transfers and new petitions through immigration counsel. If you're currently on an H-1B with another employer, Langan can initiate a cap-exempt transfer petition, allowing you to start work once USCIS receives the filing.
How do I apply for Engineering Manager jobs at Langan Engineering and Environmental Services?
You can apply directly through Langan's careers portal or find verified sponsorship-eligible openings on Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa type. When applying, tailor your resume to reflect project management scale, client-facing experience, and any PE licensure, since Langan Engineering Manager postings consistently prioritize those qualifications over generalist engineering backgrounds.
Which visa types does Langan Engineering and Environmental Services commonly use for Engineering Manager roles?
Langan sponsors H-1B visas as the primary work authorization pathway for Engineering Managers, along with TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering disciplines. For longer-term sponsorship, Langan has supported EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process for engineering management staff in ongoing roles.
What qualifications does Langan Engineering and Environmental Services expect from Engineering Manager candidates?
Engineering Manager candidates at Langan are typically expected to hold a bachelor's or master's degree in civil, environmental, or a related engineering discipline, along with significant project or team leadership experience in a consulting context. A Professional Engineer license is strongly preferred and in some offices effectively required. Experience managing multi-disciplinary project teams and client relationships carries significant weight in the hiring decision.
How do I apply for an Engineering Manager role at Langan if my OPT or H-1B cap date is approaching?
Timing matters significantly if your F-1 OPT is expiring or you're approaching the end of an H-1B validity period. Langan can file an H-1B cap-exempt transfer or an OPT-to-H-1B change of status, but the petition must be filed before your current authorization lapses. Engage Langan's HR team early in the process and confirm their immigration counsel can meet your timeline, since consulting firms often have established filing workflows that move faster than you might expect.
