Frame your PMP credentials for consulting deliverables
Langan evaluates Project Program Managers on client-facing project delivery, not just internal coordination. Highlight your experience managing scope, schedule, and budget across multi-discipline engineering teams so your credentials map directly to consulting project execution.
Target Langan offices in high-growth markets
Langan operates across major U.S. metros with active development pipelines. Offices in cities with heavy infrastructure and land development activity tend to open Project Program Manager roles more frequently, so geographic targeting sharpens your outreach before you apply.
Browse open roles through Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Langan's Project Program Manager openings by visa sponsorship type. This saves time by surfacing only roles where sponsorship is actively offered, so you're not applying blind and waiting to raise it later in the process.
Confirm LCA details before accepting an offer
Before signing, verify that the Labor Condition Application filed with DOL lists your actual work location and wage level. Langan frequently places Project Program Managers on client sites, so the LCA must reflect where you'll genuinely be based, not just the hiring office address.
Understand how project-based work affects H-1B filing
USCIS scrutinizes H-1B petitions for consulting and engineering firms because work often happens at third-party client sites. Prepare documentation showing a consistent employer-employee relationship, including supervision structure and project assignment letters, to support a clean petition.
Start PERM preparation early if you're pursuing permanent residency
EB-2 and EB-3 PERM labor certifications through DOL can take over a year before an I-140 is even filed. If Langan indicates willingness to sponsor Green Card pathways, begin that conversation during or shortly after onboarding rather than waiting until your H-1B extension window.

Find Project Program Manager at Langan Engineering and Environmental Services JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Langan Engineering and Environmental Services sponsor H-1B visas for Project Program Managers?
Yes. Langan Engineering and Environmental Services sponsors H-1B visas for Project Program Manager roles. Because this is a consulting and project delivery environment, the H-1B petition typically requires strong documentation of the specialty occupation nature of the role, including degree requirements, project scope, and the employer-employee relationship across client site assignments.
How do I apply for Project Program Manager jobs at Langan Engineering and Environmental Services?
You can browse current Project Program Manager openings at Langan through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm sponsorship availability before applying. When you apply, address your experience managing multi-discipline engineering or environmental projects directly in your materials, since Langan evaluates candidates on consulting project delivery skills.
Which visa types does Langan Engineering and Environmental Services commonly use for Project Program Manager roles?
Langan sponsors several visa categories for this role, including H-1B for specialty occupation workers, F-1 OPT and CPT for recent graduates, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories, J-1 for exchange visitors, and EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa pathways for longer-term permanent residency sponsorship.
What qualifications and experience does Langan expect for Project Program Manager candidates?
Langan typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's or advanced degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related discipline, combined with demonstrated experience managing projects in consulting or infrastructure environments. PMP certification strengthens your profile. Experience coordinating multi-discipline teams, managing client relationships, and overseeing project budgets and schedules is central to what this role requires.
How do I navigate the visa sponsorship timeline when joining Langan as a Project Program Manager?
If you're on F-1 OPT, your employer must be enrolled in E-Verify for STEM OPT extensions, which gives you up to three years of work authorization while an H-1B is pursued. The H-1B lottery opens in March each year with an October 1 start date. Aligning your offer timing and OPT expiration with the H-1B cap cycle is the most critical planning step for a smooth transition.
